Spotlight Search Not working on iOS12


As you all know spotlight search helps to find apps, convert currency, perform quick calculations and more. After updating iOS,  my spotlight search function doesn’t work fine. So I discussed with my one of the friend and he shared some tricks to solve this issue and it works. Now I’m gonna share those same tricks with you. Hope it will be useful for you
Fix 1: Deactivate and Activate.

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. Scroll down and tap General-> Spotlight Search.
  3. Now deactivate everything.
  4. Power off your device. Then turn on.
  5. Again go back to Settings-> General-> Spotlight Search.
  6. Activate everything that you have deactivated.

Fix 2: Choose Language

  1. Launch Settings-> General-> Language & Region.
  2. Select preferable language and tap Done.
  3. Now a pop-up box will be displayed. Then tap “ Confirm” button to confirm the language.

Fix 3: Software Update

  1. Launch Settings->General.
  2. Tap on “Software Update“.
  3. If an Update is available, tap “Download and Install”

Fix 4: Reset Location and privacy

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. Scroll down and tap General -> Reset.
  3. Tap  Reset Location & privacy. Then enter your passcode.
  4. Now a pop-up box will be displayed. Then tap “Reset Settings”.

Fix 5: Reset All Settings

 

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. Scroll down and tap General-> Reset.
  3. Tap Reset All Settings. Then enter your passcode.
  4. Again Enter your Restrictions Passcode.

Note: When you try Reset All Settings, your iPhone will remove all Bluetooth pairing details, saved WiFi passcode, APN and VPN settings.
Fix 6: Force Restart/Hard Reset
iPhone 6

  1. Press and Hold the Home button.
  2. Press and hold the Wake/Sleep button when holding the Home button.
  3. Hold both buttons until you see the black screen.
  4. Wait for sometimes to see Apple Logo.

iPhone 7

  1. Press and hold the Wake/Sleep(Power) button at the right of the iPhone.
  2. Press and hold the volume button.
  3. Wait until the Apple Logo appears.

iPhone 8 and iPhone X

  1. Press Volume Up button and then release it quickly.
  2. Press Volume Down button and then release it quickly.
  3. Finally, press and hold the side button( Wake/Sleep button) until the Apple logo appears.

Note: Avoid pressing Volume Up and Volume Down at the same time.
