iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR Keeps Restarting? Here’s the fix

Many Apple users have a complaint that their iPhone keeps restarting. They said that it is working well, then shuts down and keeps restarting. Here I am going to tell you the solutions to fix the issue iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR keeps restarting. If you have the same problem, this article will help you to fix it.
Solution 1: Force Restart

  1. Press the Volume Up Button and quickly release it.
  2. Press the Volume Down Button and quickly release it.
  3. Press and hold the Side Button until the Apple Logo appears.

Solution 2: Remove the SIM
Sometimes this problem will occur when your phone has a problem with wireless carrier connection. So removing and reinserting the SIM card will solve this issue.

  1. Remove the SIM from your phone.
  2. Wait for few minutes and then put the SIM back in.

Solution 3: Set Date & Time to Manual

  1. Open Settings->General->Date & Time.
  2. Turn off “24-Hour Time” and “Set Automatically”.
  3. Tap on the date and time.

Solution 4: Update your iPhone
This may be the software (iOS) issue. So check for software update.

  1. Connect your iPhone to Wi-Fi.
  2. Launch Settings->General->Software Update.

Solution 5: Reset All Settings

  1. Go to Settings->General->Reset.
  2. Tap “Reset All Settings”.
  3. Enter your passcode and restrictions passcode.
  4. Tap “Reset All Settings” in the pop-up box.
  5. Again tap “Reset All Settings” to confirm.

Note: Reset All Settings will remove all Bluetooth pairing details, saved Wi-Fi Networks & Passwords, and APN & VPN Settings.
Solution 6: Clean the Charging port
Try this solution when your iPhone keeps restarting while charging. Clean the charging port with a clean, small, soft-bristled brush. It will remove if there is any debris or dust in the charging port. You can also use a small needle/toothpick to clean the charging port.
Solution 7: Delete the apps that have many error logs

  1. Open Settings->Privacy->Analytics.
  2. Tap “Analytics Data”.
  3. Check which app has a lot of error logs and delete that app.

Solution 8: Update/Restore your iPhone in DFU/Recovery Mode

  1. Connect your iPhone to Mac/Computer via Lightning (USB) cable.
  2. Open iTunes on PC/Computer.
  3. Make sure that iTunes is updated to the latest version.
  4. Press the Volume Up Button and quickly release it.
  5. Press the Volume Down Button and quickly release it.
  6. Press and hold the Side Button until Recovery Mode  (iTunes) screen appears.
  7. Select “Update” in the pop-up box. If you select “Update”, iTunes will try to reinstall iOS without deleting your data. Wait until the process is finished.iphone xs max keeps restarting
  8. Then Force Restart your iPhone (Solution 1).

Note: If it doesn’t work out, select “Restore” instead of “Update”.  If you select “Restore”, all data will be erased from your iPhone.
Other Solutions:

  1. Don’t charge your iPhone until it dies. Then connect your iPhone to a power source. When you see the charging screen, turn on your device.
  2. If this issue occurs while using the particular app, uninstall that app.
  3. If this issue occurs after updating your iPhone, Downgrade iOS.
  4. Check Apple warranty status. If your iPhone covers warranty, take it to the Apple Service Center.
  5. Make an Apple genius bar appointment.
