iOS 12 iMessage Notifications Not working for one contact


Some iPhone Users had reported a problem that after upgrading iOS 12, the iMessage on their device doesn’t work fine for one contact. Recently, I too had experienced this same issue before a month. Then somehow I had fixed this issue with the help of tricks suggested by my friend Sherick. Here, I gonna share those tricks with you so that you can also get rid of this issue easily.
Fix 1: Turn Off Do Not Disturb

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. Tap on Do Not Disturb.
  3. Turn Off Do Not Disturb.

Note: When Do Not Disturb feature is turned On, you will not receive any Push Notifications from your device.
Fix 2: Change Notification Settings

  1. Go to Settings->Notifications.
  2. Tap “Show Previews”.
  3. Select “Always” from three options.
  4. There you can see many apps under “NOTIFICATION STYLE” such as App Store, Calendar, FaceTime, Games, Health, and more.
  5. Select any one of the items. Make sure that “Allow Notifications” option is enabled.
  6. Make sure that “Show on Lock Screen” is turned on.
  7. Disable “Show in History”.
  8. Enable “Show as Banners”. Select “Persistent” under Show as Banners.
  9. Likewise, do this for all apps under “NOTIFICATION STYLE”

Fix 3: Turn Off Bluetooth
Go to Settings -> Bluetooth and then turn it off.
Fix 4: Check for a stable internet connection

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. Tap on Wifi and then turn it on.
  3. Select your preferred Network and then connect it.

                           (or)

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. Tap on Mobile Data and turn it on.

Fix 5: Restart your device

  1. Firstly, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the slider appears.
  2. Slide to power off and then wait for a few seconds.
  3. Again, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until you see an Apple Logo to restart it.

Fix 6: Turn Off and Turn On iMessages

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. Scroll down to see Messages and then tap it.
  3. Turn Off iMessage.
  4. Wait for a few seconds.
  5. Again turn on iMessage.

Fix 7: Reset Network Settings.

  1. Go to Settings->General->Reset.
  2. Tap “Reset Network Settings” under Reset.
  3. Enter passcode if required and tap “Reset Network Settings” to confirm the action.

Note: This action will delete all WiFi passwords, APN and VPN settings of the iPhone.
Other Solutions:

  • If your device is under any Warranty Status, you can Contact Apple Support for further Repair or Replacement.
  • Make sure that you are using the latest version of your iOS on your device.
