Facebook Videos Stop Playing after a Few Seconds on iPhone – Fixed

Solution 1: Force Restart your iPhone

A first thing is to do the force restart. Force restart will solve many problems in iPhone. So try this one.

iPhone 6 and earlier
Press and hold the Home Button and Power Button (Sleep/Wake) until the Apple Logo Appears.

iPhone 7 & 7 Plus

Press and hold the Side Button and Volume Down Button until the Apple Logo appears.

iPhone 8 and later

1. Quickly press and release the Volume Up button once.
2. Then Quickly press and release the Volume Down button.
3. Press and hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears.

Solution 2: Reset All Settings

Many iPhone users said this method is solved for them. And they suggested doing this thing. To do that,

1. Launch Settings on your iPhone.
2. And tap on “General” and select Reset.
3. Then click the “Reset All Settings”.
4. Enter the Passcode if prompted.
5. Again tap on “Reset All Settings” in the pop-up box to confirm.

Solution 3: Update Facebook App

Make sure that the Facebook app is updated on your iPhone. If not, then kindly update your Facebook app.

1. Open App Store on your iPhone.
2. Click the “Update” option at the bottom.

Solution 4: Force Close Facebook App and Reopen it

1. Swipe up the screen from the bottom left corner to the middle of the screen. When you will get the closed apps, leave your fingers on the screen.
2. Either you can hold the app until seeing the minus symbol and tap on the minus symbol to close the app or swipe up the app to close.

Solution 5: Forget and Reconnect Wi-Fi

1. Go to Settings on your iPhone.
2. Tap “Wi-Fi”.
3. Tap (i) info symbol next to the connected Wi-Fi.
4. Then tap on “Forget this Network”.
5. Again click the “Forget this Network” in the pop-up box to confirm this process.
6. After doing this, soft restart your phone. Then reconnect the Wi-Fi network.

Solution 6: Check for Software Update

If you’re using an outdated version of iOS, it will cause some issues. So make sure to update the iOS to the latest version.

1. Launch Settings on your iPhone.

Solution 7: Delete and reinstall the Apps

Solution 8: Reset Network Settings

1. Go to Settings on your iPhone.
2. Tap “General”.

4. Select “Reset Network Settings”.

Solution 9: Restore your iPhone in Recovery Mode

1. First, connect your iPhone to the Mac or PC through a USB cable.
2. Then press and quickly release the Volume Up button.
3. Now, press and quickly release the Volume Down button.
4. Then press and hold the Power/Side button until it restarts. Don’t leave this button until your phone gets into Recovery mode.
5. Release this button when you see your phone connect to iTunes.
6. In the iTunes window, it shows your iOS device is in recovery mode. There you can see two options that Update or Restore.
7. Select “Restore”.
8. You have to wait until the process is completed.
