Apple Watch Series 4 Battery Draining Fast? Here’s the fix


Many Apple users have a complaint that their Apple Watch Series 4 battery draining fast. They said that battery performance was good when they bought it and suddenly it started battery draining. Here I am going to tell you the solutions to fix this issue.
Before trying the solutions,

  1. Restart your iPhone and Apple Watch.
  2. Turn off Wi-Fi and Cellular Data when not necessary.
  3. Keep Bluetooth enabled on your iPhone. Turning off Bluetooth on iPhone will make the battery drain on your Apple Watch.

Solution 1: Force Restart
Hold down the Side Button and Digital Crown simultaneously until the Apple Logo appears.apple watch - 4
Solution 2: Force close apps

  1. On your Apple Watch, press the Side Button to see the apps that are running in the background.
  2. Swipe the app from right to left.
  3. Tap Remove icon (X) to close the app.
  4. Likewise, close all the apps running in the background.
  5. Do it every time after using your Apple Watch.

Solution 3: Disable Background App Refresh

  1. On your iPhone, launch Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Select My Watch tab.
  3. Tap “General”.
  4. Tap “Background App Refresh”.
  5. Turn off “Background App Refresh”.

Solution 4: Enable Reduce Motion

  1. On your Apple Watch, Open Settings->General->Accessibility.
  2. Tap “Reduce Motion”.
  3. Turn on  “Reduce Motion”.

Solution 5: Update your Apple Watch
Before updating your Apple Watch,

  1. Connect your iPhone to Wi-Fi.
  2. Make sure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.
  3. Keep your Apple Watch next to iPhone.
  4. Connect your Apple Watch to a power source and wait until it gets charged 50%.
  5. Don’t disconnect your Apple Watch from the power source until the update completes.

To update Apple Watch,

  1. On your iPhone, launch Watch app.
  2. Select My Watch tab.
  3. Scroll down to “General” and tap it.
  4. Tap “Software Update”.
  5. Tap “Download and Install” if update is available.
  6. Tap “Agree” to continue.
  7. Enter your Passcode if required.
  8. When update process starts, you can see the progress wheel on your Apple Watch.
  9. When updating process is finished, your Apple will restart automatically.

Solution 7: Enable Power Reserve
When your Apple Watch is in Power Reserve, you can’t use any feature on your Apple Watch.

  1. On your Apple Watch, go to Control Center.
  2. Tap the battery percentage.
  3. Drag the Power Reserve slider.

Solution 8: Enable “Power Saving Mode”
Turning on Power Saving Mode will turn off the heart rate sensor. If heart rate sensor is turned off, Apple Watch won’t calculate calories accurately during workouts.

  1. On your iPhone, launch Watch app.
  2. Select My Watch tab->Workout.
  3. Enable “Power Saving Mode”.

Solution 9: Disable “Wake Screen on Wrist Raise”

  1. On your Apple Watch, launch Settings->General.
  2. Tap “Wake Screen”.
  3. Turn off “Wake Screen on Wrist Raise”.
  4. To wake up the screen, just press the Digital Crown or tap the display.

Solution 10: Unpair and repair your Apple Watch

  1. Connect your iPhone to Wi-Fi or Cellular Data.
  2. Keep your Apple Watch next to iPhone.
  3. Launch Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
  4. Tap My Watch tab.
  5. Tap your Apple Watch when it shows on top of the screen.
  6. Tap the info symbol (i) that is next to your watch to unpair it from your iPhone.
  7. Tap “Unpair Apple Watch”.
  8. After unpairing, you can see the message to repair again.
  9. Then repair your watch again with your iPhone.

Solution 11: Factory Reset your Apple Watch

  1. Connect your Apple Watch to a power source.
  2. Hold down the Side Button until you see the Power Off option.
  3. Press the Power Off slider firmly and then lift the finger.
