AirDrop Not Working on iPhone on iOS 12? Here’s the Fix


Many of the users have experienced the problem on their iPhone after it is updated to iOS 12. Basically, all the issues occur only because of the latest version. But, the issues become simple nowadays and we can easily get rid of this issue by following some fixes. The most common problem on iPhone is “AirDrop not working on iPhone iOS 12. Here I gonna share some fixes to solve this issue.
Fix 1: Turn Off and Turn On Wi-Fi

  1. Go to “Settings”.
  2. Tap “Wi-Fi” and Disable it.
  3. Wait for few minutes and enable it.

Fix 2: Turn Off and Turn On Bluetooth

  1. Go to “Settings”.
  2. Tap “Bluetooth” and Disable it.
  3. Wait for few minutes and enable it.

Fix 3: Set up AirDrop on iPhone

  1. Swipe the home screen up to see the “Control Center”.
  2. Tap and hold the “Network card”.
  3. Tap “AirDrop” icon.
  4. Tap “Everyone” at the pop-up box.

Fix 4: Force Restart your iPhone
For iPhone 6 and early

  1. Press and hold the “Home Button” and “Power Button” simultaneously.
  2. Hold both buttons until the screen turns to “black” and wait until the Apple Logo appears.

For iPhone 7
Press and hold the Power and Volume Down Button at the same time until the Apple logo appears.
For iPhone 8 and later

  1. Press the “Volume Up button” and release it.
  2. Press the “Volume Down button” and release it.
  3. Then, press and hold the “Side Button” until the Apple Logo appears.

Fix 5: Log Out and Log In iCloud
To Log Out,

  1. Connect your iPhone to Wi-Fi/Cellular Data.
  2. Go to “Settings”.
  3. Tap Apple ID at the top of the screen.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom and tap “Sign out”.
  5. Enter your password for your iCloud Apple id.
  6. Tap “Turn Off”.
  7. Again tap “Sign out” to confirm.

To Log in,

  1. Launch “Settings”.
  2. Tap “Sign in to your iPhone”.
  3. Enter your Apple ID and then click “Next” at the upper right corner of the screen.
  4. Enter your Apple ID’s Password.
  5. Click “Next” at the upper right corner of the screen.

Fix 6: Reset Network Settings

  1. Go to Settings->General->Reset.
  2. Tap “Reset Network Settings”.
  3. Enter the Passcode if required and tap “Reset Network Settings” in the pop-up box.

Note: This action will reset all Wi-Fi Networks & Passwords, APN & VPN Settings, and Cellular Settings of your iPhone.
