When you turn on Location Services, Apple & third-party apps and websites can easily use your iPhone location. So many users want to turn it off. Here I am going to tell you how to turn off Location Services on iOS 12.
Devices: iPhone X, 8, 8 Plus, 7, 7 Plus, 6, 6s, 6 Plus
Method 1: Disable Location Services
- Open Settings->Privacy->Location Services.
- Turn off “Location Services”.
- Tap “Turn Off” in the pop-up box
If you want to disable location services for a specific app,
- There you can see some items such as App Store, Maps, Calendar, Find friends, Weather and more.
- Select any one of the items. You can see two options: Never and While Using the App. Select “Never”. Some apps will have three options: Always, While Using the App, and Never. likewise, select “Never” option for all items that you don’t want to use your iPhone location.
Method 2: Turn off Location Services in Restrictions
- Open Settings->General->Restrictions.
- Make sure that Restrictions is turned on.
- Tap “Location Services” under PRIVACY.
- Select “Allow Changes”.
- Then turn off “Location Services”.
- Tap “Turn Off” in the pop-up box.
Method 3: Turn off Restrictions for Location Services
- Open Settings->General->Restrictions.
- Make sure that Restrictions is turned on.
- Tap “Location Services” under PRIVACY.
- Select “Don’t Allow Changes”.
- Now location services will be turned off.
