How to disable keyboard control keys
Press the Ctrl+F1 keys combination to disable the keyboard control keys on and off.
To disable the Macbook keyboard, open Terminal app (From Applications/Utilities folder) and type the following command.


To re-enable it, type the following into the terminal

Sudo kextload/System/Library/Extensions/AppleUSBTopCase.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleUSBTCKeyboard

You can use the 3rd party apps to disable the Macbook keyboard.
It is a free app to disable the MacBook keyboard when an external keyboard is connected.
How to install Karabiner
Step 1: First download the Karabiner app. Open a downloaded dmg file, and then open a pkg file in dmg.
Step 2: The installer is launched. Install Karabiner.karabiner installerStep 3:  Launch Karabiner from launchpad.

You can remember two things while using keyboard

  1. Before the shutdown, clean your keyboard. This helps to avoid putting pressure on keys.
  2. Don’t allow pet animals (e.g: cat or dog) to walk or sat on the keyboard.

is not a terminal command. its just part of a directory. even then i think you copy pasted this from a post dating back to 2006 when this still worked
