Solved: Touch ID Fingerprint Not Working on MacBook Pro


Many of Mac users complained that their fingerprint touch ID didn’t work well. And they could not add or remove the touch ID. This article will help and definitely resolve your problem.
Delete the Fingerprint Touch ID on Mac:
1. Turn on your Mac. Then at the Left corner, tap on the “Apple Menu”.
2. You have to click on the “System Preferences”.
3. Now, tap on the “Touch ID” under System Preferences.

 4. If you want to delete the fingerprint. You just click the fingerprint icon. Then remove it.
5. For that, you have to enter your “password”. Then click the “OK” button.

Step 6: Restart your device.
Re-Add the Fingerprint Touch ID on Mac:

    1. Turn on your Mac. Then at the Left corner, tap on the “Apple Menu”.
    2. You have to click on the “System Preferences”.
    3. Now, tap on the “Touch ID” under System Preferences.
    4. Then tap on “+” icon to add your fingerprint.

5.Register your fingerprint. Finally, click the “Done”.
If you can’t delete or add your fingerprint, you will need to update your Mac. For that, go to “App Store” on your device. In the App Store toolbar press the “Updates”. Then press the download button to download.
