How to Fix Time Machine Backup Problems in OS X Yosemite

After upgrading Mac from Mavericks to OS X Yosemite, many Mac users unable to access backup history or doing backup via Time machine. Yosemite can recognizes old backups. However if users select specific date in Time machine, nothing happens and says “Waiting”.  Also restore button is grayed out. If users try to do backup through Time machine, it shows message like “Preparing backup” for while and not make any backups.
Users only can access all items on the right hand side in Time Machine interface.
This problem might happened when you click  “Enter Time Machine” without  Finder window open. So Time machine opens to the Desktop and if you not have any files on the desktop, it will be empty.

Solution 1:-
In Finder window, double click “Mac-SSD” (select your hard drive first) and then open Time machine. It will give access to all your backups ( navigate to the folder,file or app you want to restore).
Solution 2 :-
First open Finder window then click “Enter Time Machine”.
Solution 3:-
According to Apple support guidelines, this problem might happened because of your hard disk error.
Use cmd +R  command with computer sudden. Then click the power button and run the disk utility with the partition offline.
Solution 4:-
Use Migration Assistant. But it will take too much time to restore. Some users said, it take up to 12 hours to restore.
