Fixed: Speak Screen Not Functioning on iPhone X


Some of iPhone Users had reported a problem that, the Speak Screen on their device doesn’t function well. It seems to be a frustrating issue for you right…? Well, I am going to share some tricks with you so that you can get rid of this “Speak Screen Not Functioning” issue easily.
Fix 1: Sign Out and in Sign In Apple ID/iCloud Account

  1. On your iPhone, launch Settings.
  2. Tap the Apple ID banner (at the top of the screen).
  3. Scroll down to see Sign Out option and then tap it.
  4. Tap Sign Out of iCloud if you have different accounts otherwise,
  5. Enter your Password and then turn off.
  6. Wait for few seconds and then again go back to Settings.
  7. Sign In your Apple ID/iCloud Account

Fix 2: Delete and reinstall Kindle App (for Kindle app users)

  1. Firstly, hold the Kindle App until it starts to wiggle.
  2. Now tap X in the top left corner of the App icon.
  3. Then tap on Delete and then wait for few seconds.
  4. Open the App Store and tap the search tab (at the bottom of your screen).
  5. Search for your Kindle App and find it.
  6. Finally, tap on Download to download the Kindle App.

Fix 3: Force restart/Hard Reset

  1. Press Volume Up button and then release it quickly.
  2. Press Volume Down button and then release it quickly.
  3. At last, press and hold the Side button (Wake/Sleep button) until the Apple logo appears

Fix 4: Reset All Settings

  1. On your iPhone, launch Settings.
  2. Tap on General -> Reset.
  3. Tap on Reset All Settings.
  4. Enter Passcode if prompted and tap Reset All Settings in the pop-up box.

Note: Before doing this fix, it is advisable to take backup of all your data.

Fix 5: Check for Software Updates

  1. Go to Settings -> General.
  2. Tap on Software Update -> Download and Install.

Fix 6: Turn off Power Save Mode

  1. Launch Settings -> Battery.
  2. Tap on Low Power Mode.
  3. Turn off Low Power Mode.

Other Solutions:

  • Try decreasing the font size to minimal and switching off the highlight.
  • If your device is under Warranty Status then you can contact Apple Support for further help.
