Sling TV Not Working on iPhone XS and XS Max – Fixed

Many iPhone XS and XS Max users have been complaining about their Sling TV not running. When they opened the app, it went to the main screen. Then they couldn’t open the app. I have also had a similar issue on my iPhone XS. Whenever I open the app, it closes automatically. One of the iPhone users told me some solutions to solve this issue. After trying, I could open the app.  In this article, I am going to tell you those solutions to solve this problem.

Sling TV not working on iPhone XS, XS Max and XR

Solution 1: Force Restart your Device

  1. Press the Volume Up button and release it.
  2. Then press the Volume Down button and release it.
  3. Press and hold the Side button until the Apple Logo appears.

Solution 2: Uninstall and Reinstall the App

If still, you can’t open the, try to uninstall and reinstall the app from App Store. To uninstall the App,

  1. Press and hold the app that you want to delete. Hold this until app icons wiggling and X symbol appear.
  2. Click the “X” symbol to delete the app.
  3. Then download and install the app from the App Store.

Solution 3: Check for Software Update

  1. Go to Settings -> General -> Software Update.
  2. If an update available here, you just click “Download and Install”.
  3. Then follow the instruction to update.

Solution 4: Update the Sling TV App

Recently Sling TV app released a new update that fixes iPhone XS and XS Max, XR not working issue on iPhone. For that,

  1. Launch App Store.
  2. Then tap on the Profile icon on the top-right side.
  3. Next, scroll down and find the Sling TV app, check if any update is available.
  4. If it is yes then tap on the Update button.
  5. Once the update is completed then check now it’s working or not on your iPhone XS/XS Max and XR.

Solution 4: Restore your iPhone via iTunes

Before restoring, backup your iPhone. Because this action will erase your phone’s data.

  1. First, connect your iPhone to the Mac.
  2. Then open iTunes on your Mac.
  3. Click the iPhone icon at the top.
  4. Now, click the Summary tab in the left corner.
  5. A pop-up box will appear to confirm the action and tap Restore.
  6. Then iTunes will restore your iPhone.
  7. When your phone restarts, you can see few options. You have to select “Set Up as New iPhone”.
