Siri Not Working on iPhone XS and XS Max – Solved

iPhone XS Max users have a complaint that Hey Siri not working. They said that Siri not listening when they speak. Do you have also experienced this same issue on your iPhone? If yes, then read this article. Here I will provide some useful solutions to solve this issue.
Solution 1: Turn Off Low Power Mode

  1. Go to Settings -> Battery.
  2. Make sure that low power mode is turned off. If it’s on, turn off it. Because Siri is not work in Low Power Mode.

Solution 2: Enable Hey Siri

  1. Go to Settings -> Siri & Search.
  2. Make sure that Listen for “Hey Siri” is enabled.
  3. Make sure that “Press the Side Button for Siri” is enabled.

Solution 3: Refresh Hey Siri

  1.  Go to Settings -> Siri & Search.
  2. Turn off Listen for “Hey Siri” and Press side button for Siri.
  3. Restart your iPhone.
  4. Wait for few seconds and turn it on back those two options.

Solution 4: Restart your iPhone

  1. Press the power button and either volume up or down button until getting a slider.
  2. Drag the slider to turn off your device.
  3. To turn on your device, press and hold the power button until seeing an Apple logo.

Solution 5: Use Strong Internet Connection
Make sure that your internet connection (Wi-Fi/Cellular Data) is good. If you use Wi-Fi, change it to Cellular data. If you use Cellular Data, change it to Wi-Fi.
Solution 6: Reset Network Settings

  1. Go to Settings -> Genera l-> Reset.
  2. Tap “Reset Network Settings”.
  3. Enter your passcode.
  4. Tap “Reset Network Settings” in the pop-up box.

Solution 7: Refresh Dictation

  1. Go to Settings -> General -> Keyboard.
  2. Turn off “Enable Dictation”.
  3. Wait for few seconds and turn it on back.

Solution 8: Turn Off Restrictions for Siri

  1. Open Settings -> Screen Time -> Content & Privacy Restrictions.
  2. Make sure that Allowed Apps and Siri & Dictation is turned on.

Solution 9: Turn on “Type to Siri”

  1. Go to Settings -> General -> Accessibility.
  2. Scroll down the page and tap “Siri”.
  3. Turn on “Type Siri” if it turned off.

Solution 10: Force Restart

  1. Press the Volume Up button and release it.
  2. Press the Volume Down button and release it.
  3. Press and hold the Side button until the Apple Logo appears.

Solution 11: Check for Software Update

  1. Go to Settings -> General -> Software Update.
  2. Tap “Download and Install” if an update is available.

Solution 12: Factory Reset
If none of the above solutions work for you try out this method. Before doing this, Backup your device. Because this action deletes all content from your device.

  1. Go to Settings -> General -> Reset.
  2. Tap “Erase All Content and Settings”.
  3. Enter the passcode.
  4. Wait until the process will complete.

Other Solutions

  1. Speak with your iPhone a few inches from your lips.
  2. If you are using a microphone to speak with Siri, check whether it is working or not.
