Safari Bookmarks Disappeared on iPhone & iPad, Fix


Many iOS users complained that their safari bookmarks disappeared after an update. I too had this problem. One iPhone users told me some solutions to fix this issue. After tried those solutions, there is no problem. In this article, I am going to tell you those solutions to resolve this problem. If you are having this issue, you can try out these methods.
Close Safari App    
If you are losing safari bookmarks or bookmarks not syncing, you have to close the safari app.

  • Double click the home button to see the safari bookmark preview and recently used apps. Swipe it to left or right. It closes your safari app.force close

Restart your device
 iPhone 8 and Earlier:

  • 1. Press and hold the power button until you get a slider.
  • 2.To turn off your device, drag the slider.
  • 3.After few seconds, again press and hold the power button until you get Apple logo.

 iPhone X:

  • 1.Press and hold the side button until you get a slider.
  • 2.To turn off your device, drag the slider.
  • 3.After that, again turn on your device. For that, press and hold the side button until you get an Apple logo. Then open safari app and check bookmarks if return.

Check your Date & Time
Make sure that your Date & Time on your device is correct. For that

  • Launch “Settings” app.
  • Click “General” -> click “Date & Time” -> set “Automatically”.
  • If it already turned on, once turn off it. Wait for 10 seconds and then again turn it on.

Hard Reset your Devices
Force restart
Force restart/Hard Reset (till iPhone 6)

  • Press and hold the “Home Button”.
  • At the same time, press and hold the “Wake/Sleep (Power) button” at the top right of the iPhone while holding the “Home Button”.
  • Hold both buttons until the screen goes “black” and wait until the “Apple logo” appears.

Force restart/Hard Reset ( iPhone 7)

  1. Press and hold the “Wake/Sleep (Power) button” at the right of the iPhone.
  2. Press and hold the “Volume Down button” on the left side while holding the “Wake/Sleep button”.
  3. Wait until the “Apple logo” appears.

Force restart/Hard Reset ( iPhone 8 and iPhone X)

  1. Press “Volume Up button” and quickly release it. And then Press “Volume Down button” and quickly release it.
  2. At last, press and hold the “Slide button (Wake/Sleep button)” until the “Apple logo” appears.

Note: Don’t press “Volume Up” and “Volume Down” at the same time.
Retrieve Deleted Safari Bookmarks
Using iMyFone, you can retrieve the Safari Bookmarks, iCloud Backup File or iTunes Backup File. So, you have to download the software to your device. Follow these steps given below

  • First, you have to select a Recovery Mode. if you are restoring the device from iCloud you can select “Recover from iCloud”, for iTunes select “Restore from iTunes Backup”. Using iMyFone software, you can recover the Safari Bookmarks without backup.
