Some iPhone users have been complaining that their iPhone contacts disappear after iOS 12 update. Contacts are most important for us. If it suddenly disappears, it makes us feel bad. Solution 1: Turn Off and Turn On iCloud
- Go to Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap on your Apple ID.
- Tap “iCloud”.
- Under APPS USING ICLOUD, turn off Contacts. Wait for few seconds and turn it on back.
Solution 2: Change Contact Groups Settings
- Launch the Phone app.
- Tap on “Contacts” tab at the bottom.
- In the top left corner, tap on “Groups”.
- Select “On My iPhone” instead of “iCloud”.
Solution 3: Sign Out of iCloud and Sign In Back
- Go to Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap on your Apple ID.
- Scroll down the page to bottom and tap “Sign Out”.
- Soft Restart your iPhone.
- Then sign in back.
Solution 4: Reset Network Settings
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap “General” -> “Reset”.
- Select “Reset Network Settings”.
- Enter the passcode if need.
- Again tap “Reset Network Settings”.
Solution 5: Force Close the App
iPhone X and Later
- Swipe up the screen from bottom left corner to the middle of the screen. When you will get the closed apps, leave your fingers from the screen.
- Either you can hold the app until seeing the minus symbol and tap on the minus symbol to close the app or swipe up the app to close.
iPhone 8 and Earlier
- Close the app while you are using the Contacts app.
- Then double-click the “Home” button.
- Here you can see the all closed apps. You have to swipe the app to close. After that, reopen the app and check it.
