Music App Not Working on iPhone XS, XR and XS Max – Fixed

Many iPhone users have been complaining that their Apple Music app not working after an update. I know it’s one of the irritating issues in iPhone. In this article, I am going to tell you some solutions to solve this problem.
Solution 1: Force Restart your iPhone

  1. Press and release Volume Up button.
  2. Press and release Volume Down button.
  3. Press and hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears.

Solution 2: Turn Off and Turn on iCloud Music Library

  1. Launch “Settings” -> “Music”.
  2. Tap on “iCloud Music Library”.
  3. Turn Off “iCloud Music Library”.
  4. Wait for few seconds. Again, turn on your iCloud Music Library.
  5. Then again relaunch the Music app and then see if it works.

Solution 3: Force Close Facebook App and Reopen it
You have to force close the app while using it. Then wait for few seconds and reopen it again.

  1. Swipe up the screen from bottom left corner to the middle of the screen. When you will get the closed apps, leave your fingers from the screen.
  2. Either you can hold the app until seeing the minus symbol and tap on the minus symbol to close the app or swipe up the app to close.

Solution 4: Turn On and Turn Off Airplane Mode

  1. On your iPhone, launch “Settings”.
  2. Tap on “Airplane Mode” and then turn it as on.
  3. Wait for few seconds. Again go back to Settings.
  4. Turn Off Airplane Mode.

Solution 5: Reset Network Settings

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap “General”.
  3. Tap “Reset”.
  4. Select “Reset Network Settings”.

Solution 6: Check for Software Update

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap “General”.
  3. Scroll down the page to find Software Update.
  4. If an update is available here, you just tap “Download and Install”.
  5. Then follow the instruction to update the software.

Solution 7: Turn Off Show Apple Music

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap “Music”.
  3. Turn off “Show Apple Music”.

Solution 8: Join Apple Music

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap “Music”.
  3. Tap “Join Apple Music”.

Solution 9: Uninstall and Reinstall Music App

  1. Long press the app until the apps are shaking.
  2. The tap “X” symbol.
  3. Next, you will get one pop-up box to confirm to delete the app.
  4. Then tap “Confirm.
  5. To install the app, launch App Store. There you can download the app.

Solution 10: Reset All Settings

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap “General”.
  3. Tap “Reset”.
  4. Select “Reset All Settings”.
  5. Enter the passcode if prompted.
  6. Again tap Reset All Settings in the pop-up box to confirm.

Solution 11: Restore your iPhone with Recovery Mode

  1. First, connect your iPhone to the Mac or PC through USB cable.
  2. After it connects, press and quickly release the Volume Up button.
  3. Now, press and quickly release Volume Down button.
  4. Then press and hold the Power/Side button until it restarts. Don’t leave this button until your phone gets into Recovery mode.
  5. Release this button when you see your phone connect to iTunes.
  6. In the iTunes window, it shows your iOS device is in recovery mode. There you can see two options that Update or Restore.
  7. Select “Restore”.
  8. You have to wait until the process is completed.
