macOS Mojave Installation Stuck? Here's the fix


As you all know, macOS installation stuck is common issue while updating Mac. Likewise, macOS Mojave also has this issue. Many Apple users have a complaint that macOS Mojave install stuck. Here I am going to tell you the solutions to fix macOS Mojave install frozen. If you have the same problem this article will help you to fix it.
Before trying these solutions,

  1. Make sure that your network connection (Wi-Fi/Data) is good and speed enough to update your Mac.
  2. Make sure that your Mac is fully charged (or) connect your Mac to a power source.

Fix 1: Force Restart (Hard Reset)

  1. Press and hold the Power Button until your Mac turned off.
  2. Wait for few seconds and then press the Power Button to turn it on.

Fix 2: Reset PRAM/NVRAM
One of the Mac users said that this solution worked him perfectly.

  1. Press and hold the Power Button until your Mac turned off.
  2. Press the Power Button to turn on your Mac.
  3. Then immediately press and hold the Option + Command + P + R keys simultaneously as quickly as possible after pressing the Power Button.
  4. Keep pressing those keys until you hear the startup sound for the second time.
  5. Wait for some time. It may take 15-20 minutes.
  6. Now your mac will restart normally with the complete installation of Mojave.

Fix 3: Restart your Mac in Safe Mode
Restart your Mac in Safe Mode will fix many issues on your Mac.

  1. Press and hold the Power Button until your Mac turned off.
  2. Press the Power Button to turn on your Mac.
  3. Press and hold the Shift Key immediately after pressing the Power Button.
  4. you can see the Apple Logo on the screen. Keep pressing the Shift Key until you see the Login Window.
  5. Enter your User Name & Password to login. You may need to login twice if FileVault is turned on.

Fix 4: Reinstall macOS (Recovery Partition)

  1. Press and hold the Power Button to shut down your Mac.
  2. Press the Power Button to turn on your Mac.
  3. Press and hold the Command + R keys simultaneously as soon as possible after pressing the Power Button.
  4. Keep pressing Command + R keys until the Apple Logo appears.
  5. After that Utilities windows will appear with 4 options. Tap “Reinstall macOS”.
  6. Tap “Continue”.
  7. You will be prompted to choose your hard disk/drive. If you are not asked to select your disk, tap “Show All Disks”. You may need to enter your Apple ID.
  8. Tap “Install”. Wait until the installation process is completed.
  9. Your Mac will restart after completing the installation.

Fix 5: Reset SMC
If your Mac has a non-removable battery,

  1. Shut down your Mac by pressing the Power Button.
  2. Press and hold the Shift + Control + Option + Power Button simultaneously.
  3. Then release the keys at the same time.
  4. Press the Power Button to turn on your Mac.

If your Mac has a removable battery,

  1. Remove the battery out of your Mac.
  2. Press and hold the Power Button for 5 seconds.
  3. Insert the battery into your Mac.
  4. Turn on your Mac.
