Mail Notification Not Working on watchOS 5? Here’s How to Fix It

I have updated my iPhone to iOS 12 and my Apple Watch Series 2 to watchOS 5. Since upgrading, I didn’t get Email notification on my Apple watch. It appears VIP email notifications work. It was really frustrating for me. If anyone sent a mail, I didn’t get the notifications. Finally, I solved this Mail notification issue. Now it works properly. In this article, I am going to tell you how to fix Mail notifications not working on Apple watchOS 5.
Solution 1: Restart your iPhone and Apple Watch
iPhone:

1. Press and hold the side button or volume button until the slider appears.
2. Next, drag the slider to turn off your device.
3. To turn on your device, press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears.
4. Another way to restart your phone is, go to Settings -> General -> Shutdown.

Apple Watch:

1. Press and hold the side button until the slider appears.
2. Next, drag the slider to turn off your device.
3. To turn on your device, press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears.

Solution 2: Unpair and Re-pair your Apple Watch (Factory Reset)
Unpairing your Apple watch is the same as restoring your Watch to Factory Settings. When you unpair your Apple Watch, the iPhone will automatically take a backup of your watch.

1. Make sure that the distance between your Apple Watch and iPhone is not too far. Keep them close together.
2. Launch Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
3. Tap My Watch tab.
4. Tap your Apple Watch when it shows on top of the screen.
5. Tap (i) info symbol that is next to your watch to unpair it from your iPhone.
6. Tap “Unpair Apple Watch”.
7. Try to restart your Apple Watch.
8. Then repair your Apple Watch with iPhone.
