Fix 1: Check the Settings using Terminal
- Launch Terminal using spotlight search.
- Type the following command and hit on the “Enter” key.
pmset -g custom
Note: Look for the default settings Hibernate as “3” and Standby as “1”.
- Now, check the standby value should be as “1”. If not, then type the following command and hit Enter.
Sudo pmset standby 1
- Now, enter your System Password and again hit Enter.
- Then, check the standby value by entering the command and hitting Enter.
pmset -g custom
- If the standby value has been changed, then Restart your Mac.
- If the above solution doesn’t work for you then follow the next one.
Fix 2: Reset SMC and NVRAM
SMC:
- Power Off the Mac and unplug from power.
- Wait for a few seconds and power on your Mac.
- Immediately, press and hold the shift +ctrl+option keys and Power button at the same time until you get the second start-up sound.
- Now, release the keys and plug the Power cord.
- Check the Power cord light blinks.
NVRAM:
- Restart your Mac.
- Immediately press and hold the cmd+option+P+R keys until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
Fix 3: Reinstall macOS
- Restart your Mac.
- Immediately press and hold the cmd+R keys until the spinning globe logo appears on the screen.
- Now, select and connect to the Network.
- Then, choose “continue” and agree with the terms.
- Now, select the hard drive and click on the “install” option.
