LED Flash for Alerts Not Working on iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR (Fixed)

Many Apple users have a complaint that LED flash for alerts not working on iPhone. They said that it is not happening all the time. But then it is happening occasionally. Solution 1: Enable “LED Flash for Alerts”

1. Go to Settings->General->Accessibility.
2. Scroll down to find “LED Flash for Alerts” and tap it.
3. Make sure that LED Flash for Alerts is turned on.
4. Turn on “Flash on Silent” too. If the “Flash on Silent” option is turned off, your iPhone will not flash when it is on Silent Mode.

Solution 2: Refresh Led Flash for Alerts

1. Launch Settings->General->Accessibility.
2. Scroll down to find “LED Flash for Alerts” and tap it.
3. Turn off “LED Flash for Alerts”.
4. Restart your iPhone.
5. Then turn on “LED Flash for Alerts”.

Solution 3: Force Restart your iPhone

1. Press the Volume Up Button once and Volume Down button once.
2. And then press and hold the Side Button until the Apple Logo appears.
3. That’s it your phone is restarted now.

Solution 4: Reset All Settings

1. Go to Settings->General->Reset.
2. Tap “Reset All Settings”.
3. Enter the passcode and Restrictions Passcode.
4. Tap “Reset All Settings” in the pop-up box.
5. Again tap “Reset All Settings” to confirm. Wait until your phone restarts.
6. Then turn on “LED Flash for Alerts” (Solution 1).

Note: Reset All Settings will remove all Bluetooth pairing details, saved Wi-Fi Networks & passwords,  and APN & VPN settings. So make sure that you have your passwords saved already.

Solution 5: Enable Allow Notifications on Lock Screen

1. Open Settings.
2. Scroll down to “Notifications” and tap it.
3. Tap “Messages”.
4. Enable “Lock Screen”.
5. Likewise, enable “Lock Screen” for all apps that you want to use flash for alerts.

Solution 6: Check the LED Flashlight

Sometimes, the problem may be in the flashlight. So check whether the flashlight is working or not.

1. Go to Control Center.
2. Turn on Flashlight and make sure that the flashlight is working well.
3. If the flashlight is not working, the problem will be with the flashlight. So replace it.
