iTunes doesn’t Recognize on iPhone

Most of iPhone users using iCloud sync and iTunes for Backup or restoring the device. As you all know both are safer to use. But few of them frequently complaining about iTunes doesn’t recognize on iPhone. I too faced this difficulty and I tried a few steps to overcome this error. Now I’m gonna share those trick with you hope those solution will useful to you.

Solution 1: Update the iTunes

Most of the error may happen for the old version of iTunes. Check if any update available or not. If an update is available then update it.

For update

  1. Launch App Store.
  2. Click Update on the top of the screen.
  3. If an update is available then tap Download & Install.

Solution 2: Restart your device

On Mac

Restart your Mac in Safe Mode will fix many issues on your Mac. But you can’t use some features in Safe Mode.

  1. Turn off your Mac via Apple menu > Shut Down.
  2. Turn on your Mac.
  3. Press and hold the Shift Key as quickly as possible after you hear the startup sound. You can see the Apple Logo on the Screen.
  4. Keep pressing the Shift Key until you see the Login Window.
  5. Enter your User Name & Password to login. You may need to login twice if FileVault is turned on

On iPhone

  1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the slide to power off screen appears.
  2. Drag the slider to turn off your device.
  3. Again press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until you see an Apple Logo.

Solution 3: Turn Off/On USB Accessories mode

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. Tap Face ID and Passcode or Touch ID and Passcode.
  3. Scroll down to see USB accessories and then tap it.
  4. Now turn off it.

Solution 4: Factory Setting

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. Scroll down to see General and then tap it.
  3. Again scroll down to see Reset and then tap it.
  4. Tap Erase All Content and Settings.
  5. Now the pop-up box will appear with 3 options. If you want to Backup your device then tap Back Up Then Erase.
  6. If you have already taken a Backup then tap Erase Now.
  7. Wait until the process gets finished.

Note: This fix will remove all data from your device. Therefore, it is advisable to take a backup.

Solution 5: Reset Location & Privacy

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. Scroll down to see General and then tap it.
  3. Tap Reset.
  4. Now tap Reset Location & Privacy.  
  5. Enter your passcode.
  6. Tap Reset Setting to confirm your action.

Solution 6: Connect iPhone to Mac or PC

  1. Press option key and then go to Apple Menu.
  2. Then tap System Information or System Report.
  3. If you have seen your device then delete the third party software.

Note: If it is not visible then move to Apple Support


  1. Connect your iPhone using USB cable.
  2. Open Run Command then type %ProgramFiles%\CommonFiles\Apple\Mobile Device\Drivers and tap OK.
  3. Right-click and then select unsbaap164.inf or usbaaapl.inf and install it.
  4. Make sure that your file is in a.inf format.
  5. Unplug your iPhone from PC and then Restart your Computer.
  6. Then connect your iPhone and then launch iTunes.

Solution 7: Contact Apple Support

If your device is under any warranty status, then you can Contact Apple Support for further Repair or Replacement.
