iPhone XS, XR and XS Max Notification Sounds Not Working [Solved]

Many iPhone users are getting an issue that notification sounds not working on their iPhone XS and XS Max. We will only see the notifications when we getting a sound. If it does not work, we won’t see the notifications suddenly. If we get any important notifications, what will happen?. We will see this when we take mobile for any other purpose. Solution 1: Restart your iPhone

  1. Press the power button and either volume up or down button until getting a slider.
  2. Drag the slider to turn off your device.
  3. Wait for 20 to 30 seconds.
  4. To turn on your device, press and hold the power button until see an Apple logo.

Solution 2: Check Do Not Disturb Disturb
If this mode is on, then you won’t get a call or messages to your iPhone. So, check it whether it’s on or off.

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on “Do Not Disturb”.
  3. Now, turn off “Do Not Disturb” if it on.do-not-disturb

Solution 3: Check Ring/Silent Button
When your phone is on Silent Mode, it won’t get any notification sounds.

  1. Above Volume Buttons (Left side of your iPhone), you can see the Silent/Ringer switch.
  2. If your iPhone is in silent mode, you can see the orange color.
  3. Move the switch towards the right side to enable Ring Mode.
  4. Now ask someone to call you and your iPhone will definitely ring.

Solution 4: Set Default Tone for Text Messages
Change the alert tone may solve this problem. To do this,

  1. Go to Settings -> Sounds -> Text Tone.
  2. Select “Note(Default)” if any other alert tone has selected.alert-tones

Solution 5: Check RINGER AND ALERTS

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap “Sounds”.
  3. Check RINGER and ALERTS. If it’s too low, increase it.ringer-alerts

Solution 6: Reset All Settings

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap “General”.
  3. Tap “Reset”.
  4. Now, select “Reset All Settings”.Reset All Settings
  5. Enter the passcode if prompted.
  6. Again tap “Reset All Settings” in the pop-up box to confirm this process.

Solution 7: Check for Software Update

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap “General”.
  3. Scroll down the page to find “Software Update” and tap it.
  4. If there any update is available, you just click “Download and Install”.
  5. Then follow the instruction to complete this process.

Solution 8: Restore your iPhone in Recovery Mode via iTunes

  1. First, connect your iPhone to the Mac or PC through USB cable.
  2. After it connects, press and quickly release the Volume Up button.
  3. Now, press and quickly release Volume Down button.
  4. Then press and hold the Power/Side button until it restarts. Don’t leave this button until your phone gets into Recovery mode.
  5. Release this button when you see your phone connect to iTunes.
  6. In the iTunes window, it shows your iOS device is in recovery mode. There you can see two options that Update or Restore.
  7. Select “Restore”.
  8. You have to wait until the process is completed.
