Many iPhone users have been complaining that their iPhone XS and XS Max camera not working. I know the Camera app is the best app in iPhone. If it does not work properly, definitely we get frustrating. I too had this same issue on my iPhone XS. One of my friends suggested some solutions to solve this problem. In this article, I am going to share those solutions with you.
Solution 1: Force Restart your iPhone
- Press and release Volume Up button.
- Press and release Volume Down button.
- Press and hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears.
Solution 2: Force Close and Reopen the App
- Swipe up the screen from bottom left corner to the middle of the screen. When you will get the closed apps, leave your fingers from the screen.
- Either you can hold the app until seeing the minus symbol and tap on the minus symbol to close the app or swipe up the app to close.
Solution 3: Reset All Settings
- Go to Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap “General”.
- Tap “Reset”.
- Select “Reset All Settings”.
- Enter the passcode if prompted.
- Again tap Reset All Settings in the pop-up box to confirm.
Solution 4: Check for Software Update
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap “General”.
- Scroll down the page to find Software Update.
- If an update is available here, you just tap “Download and Install”.
- Then follow the instruction to update the software.
Solution 5: Turn Off Location Services for Camera App
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap “Privacy”.
- Tap “Location Services”
- Scroll down the page to find Camera app and turn off it.
Solution 6: Restore your iPhone with Recovery Mode
- First, connect your iPhone to the Mac or PC through USB cable.
- After it connects, press and quickly release the Volume Up button.
- Now, press and quickly release Volume Down button.
- Then press and hold the Power/Side button until it restarts. Don’t leave this button until your phone gets into Recovery mode.
- Release this button when you see your phone connect to iTunes.
- In iTunes window, it shows your iOS device is in recovery mode. There you can see two options that Update or Restore.
- Select “Restore”.
- You have to wait until the process is completed.
