Some iPhone users have complained that their iPhone XS Max auto brightness not working properly. Even they couldn’t adjust the screen brightness. I know it’s really frustrating to who are having this issue. In this article, I am going to tell you some solutions to solve this problem.
Solution 1: Force Restart your iPhone
- Press and release Volume Up button.
- Press and release Volume Down button.
- Press and hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears.
Solution 2: Turn Off Reduce White Point
If you turn on Reduce White Point on your iPhone, it will reduce the brightness of your phone. Then your screen will go dim. You have to turn off it.
- Open Settings.
- Tap General -> Accessibility -> Accommodations.
- Turn off “Reduce White Point”.
Solution 3: Turn on Auto-Brightness
- Go to Settings -> General -> Accessibility.
- Tap “Display Accommodations”.
- Now, turn on Auto-Brightness.
Solution 4: Turn Off Zoom
If you turned on Zoom feature, then your screen goes black. So you have to turn off it.
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap “General”.
- Tap “Accessibility”.
- Tap “Zoom”.
- Now, turn off “Zoom”.
Solution 5: Turn Off Reduce Transparency
- Go to Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap “General”.
- Tap “Accessibility”.
- Now, tap “Increase Contrast”.
- Then, disable “Reduce Transparency”.
Solution 6: Reset All Settings
- Go to Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap “General”.
- Tap “Reset”.
- Select “Reset All Settings”.
- Enter the passcode if prompted.
- Again tap Reset All Settings in the pop-up box to confirm.
Solution 7: Restore your iPhone with Recovery Mode
- First, connect your iPhone to the Mac or PC through USB cable.
- After it connects, press and quickly release the Volume Up button.
- Now, press and quickly release Volume Down button.
- Then press and hold the Power/Side button until it restarts. Don’t leave this button until your phone gets into Recovery mode.
- Release this button when you see your phone connect to iTunes.
- In iTunes window, it shows your iOS device is in recovery mode. There you can see two options that Update or Restore.
- Select “Restore”.
- You have to wait until the process is completed.
