iPhone Xs Not Connecting to iTunes – Fixed


One of iPhone users has reported that iPhone Xs not connecting to iTunes. So, he couldn’t do an update, restore, play or download. Somehow, I found the solution to fix this problem. Solution 1: Update iTunes to Latest Version

  1. Open iTunes on your Mac.
  2. From the menu, click iTunes.
  3. Then choose to Check for Updates.
  4. Another way is, go to App Store -> UPdates. If a new version of the update is available, click Install to Update.

Solution 2: Uninstall Third-Party Security Software
If you have installed any third-party security software which is not developed by Microsoft, first remove it. Because it may cause of this iTunes issue. But if you installed security software, even your iPhone not connecting to iTunes, you will disable this software temporarily. Now, check whether iTunes accept the phone or not.
Solution 3: Unplug the USB or Change USB
If iTunes not recognizing your computer, then unplug the USB. Wait for a few seconds and plug it. If still doesn’t work, change the USB cable with a new one. It must be an Apple certified.
Solution 4: Restart your iPhone Xs and Mac

  1. Press and hold the side button until the slider appears.
  2. Then drag the slider to turn off your device.
  3. To turn on your iPhone XS, press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears.
  4. Another way is, go to Settings -> General -> Shut Down.

Restart Mac

  1. Press the Power button or press Control+Eject until the dialog box appears.
  2. Then click the Restart button.
  3. Another way to restart your mac is, go to Apple menu and click Restart.

Solution 5: Connect your iPhone to Another Computer or Mac
If none of the above solution work for you, then try to connect your iPhone Xs to another one.

  1. First, press and hold the option key and click Apple Menu.
  2. You can select either System Information or System Report.
  3. Under USB device if you find your iPhone, remove third-party security software. Otherwise, call Apple Support.
