iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR GPS Not Working? Here’s the fix


GPS not working on your iPhone…? If yes, it is not the biggest issue. Here I am going to tell you the solutions to fix GPS not working on iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR. If you have the same problem, this article will help you to fix it.
Before trying the following solutions,

  1. Make sure that Location Services is turned on.
  2. Your iPhone is connected to internet (Wi-Fi/Cellular Data).

Solution 1: Refresh Location Services (GPS)

  1. Open Settings->Privacy->Location Services.
  2. Turn off “Location Services”.
  3. Tap “Turn Off” in the pop-up box.
  4. Restart your iPhone.
  5. Then turn on “Location Services”.
  6. Scroll down to “Maps” and tap it.
  7. Select “While Using the app”.

Solution 2: Refresh Wi-Fi

  1. Go to Settings->Wi-Fi.
  2. Turn off “Wi-Fi”.
  3. Wait for few seconds and then turn it on.

Solution 3: Refresh Airplane Mode

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Turn on Airplane Mode.
  3. Wait for few seconds and then turn it off.

Solution 4: Force Restart

  1. Press the Volume Up Button and release it.
  2. Press the Volume Down Button and release it.
  3. Press and hold the Side Button until the Apple Logo appears.iphone xs-gps not working

Solution 5: Reset Location & Privacy

  1. Open Settings->General->Reset.
  2. Tap “Reset Location & Privacy”.
  3. Enter your passcode if required.
  4. Tap “Reset Settings” in the pop-up box.

Solution 6:  Set Date & Time to “Set Automatically”

  1. Go to Settings->General->Date & Time.
  2. Enable “Set Automatically”.

Solution 7: Reset Network settings

  1. Go to Settings->General->Reset.
  2. Tap “Reset Network Settings”.
  3. Enter the Passcode if required.
  4. Tap “Reset Network Settings” in the pop-up box.

Note: Reset Network Settings will reset all Wi-Fi Networks & Passwords, APN & VPN Settings, and Cellular Settings of your iPhone.
Solution 8: Reset All Settings

  1. Go to Settings->General->Reset.
  2. Tap “Reset All Settings”.
  3. Enter your passcode and restrictions passcode.
  4. Tap “Reset All Settings”.
  5. Again tap “Reset All Settings” to confirm.

Note: Reset All Settings will remove all Bluetooth pairing details, saved Wi-Fi Networks & Passwords, and APN & VPN Settings.
