iPhone XS Alarm Volume won't Go Down – Here's the Fix

Some iPhone users get an issue on their iPhone XS Max which the Alarm Volume too loud. It was one of the irritating issues on iPhone. Some users don’t how to solve this issue. They are searching for how to reduce the alarm volume but there is no option to reduce alarm volume. Though you can reduce the sound by using some methods. Here I am going to tell you those methods to solve this issue.
Solution 1: Reducing Alarm Volume
Adjusting Ringer and Alerts can also reduce or increase Alarm Sounds. To do that,

  1. Go to the Settings app.
  2. Scroll down the page and tap “Sounds”.
  3. Under RINGER and ALERTS, adjusting the volume knob to reduce the sound.
  4. You can also adjust the Sounds using Volume Buttons but you have to turn on “Change with Buttons.

Solution 2: Restart your iPhone

  1. Press the Power Button and either Volume Button until getting power off slider.
  2. Then drag the slider to turn off your device.
  3. Wait for a minute. To turn on your iPhone, press and hold the Power Button until getting an Apple Logo.

Solution 3: Change Bedtime Settings
If you are using Bedtime on your iPhone, try this way to adjust the alarm volume.

  1. First, open the “Clock App”.
  2. Tap “Bedtime” tab.
  3. In the top left corner, tap “Options”.
  4. Here you can select which days your wake alarm goes off.
  5. You can set reminded time to go to bed.
  6. Adjust Wake Up Sound for alarm.

Solution 4: Change the Alarm Sound
Some users have said that their iPhone will sometime go off loud then go to quiet. Then it will go quiet and go off loud. Why this problem occurred is maybe your Alarm sound naturally have ups and down sound. What you have to do is change the alarm sound. To do that,

  1. Open Clock app.
  2. Select the “Alarm” tab.
  3. Tap “Edit” button.
  4. Tap on the Alarm which you want to change the alarm sound effect for.
  5. Tap “Sound” and select the new tone to set.
  6. Now, tap on Back and select “Save” to complete the process.

Solution 5: Check for Software Update

  1. Go to Settings -> General.
  2. Scroll down the page and tap “Software Update”.
  3. If an update is available, then tap “Download and Install”.

Solution 6: Reset All Settings

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap “General” -> “Reset”.
  3. Then select “Reset All Settings”.
  4. Enter the passcode if need.

Solution 7: Restore your iPhone
If you still can’t fix this issue, then restore your phone. Before doing this back up your device because this action will erase all content of your device.

  1. Go to the Settings app.
  2. Tap “General”.
  3. Scroll down and tap “Reset”.
  4. Tap “Erase All Content and Settings”.
  5. Enter the passcode if need.
  6. Tap confirm to restore your iPhone.

After restoring your iPhone, all alarm have deleted. So add a new alarm and check the sound.

  1. Open the Clock app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap “Alarm Tab”.
  3. The tap “+” symbol to add an alarm. If you want to recurring alarm, tap “Repeat”.
  4. To select Sounds, tap “Sound”.
  5. If you want to set a name for alarm, tap “Label”.
  6. Now, tap “Save” to activate your alarm.
