Many Apple users have a complaint that their iPhone XS won’t connect to WiFi. They said that iPhone connects to Wi-Fi when they connect. But suddenly it is dropping. Are you one of them? If yes, here you can find some simple solutions to fix this issue.
Solution 1: Check the Router
- Make sure that your Wi-Fi Router is turned on.
- Make sure that you are not far away from the Router.
- Try different Wi-Fi networks. Because it may be a network problem.
Solution 2: Check your Wi-Fi Connection
- Launch Settings->Wi-Fi.
- Make sure that Wi-Fi is turned on.
- Make sure that your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi.
- If your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi, you can see the Blue check mark next to the connected Wi-Fi Network name.
- Tap (i) info symbol next to the connected Wi-Fi network name.
- Enable “Auto-Join”.
Solution 3: Refresh Airplane Mode
- Launch Settings.
- Turn on “Airplane Mode”.
- Wait for few seconds and then turn it off.
Solution 4: Restart your iPhone & Router
To restart your iPhone,
- Hold down the Side Button and either Volume Up/Down Button simultaneously until slide to power off screen appears.
- Drag the slider to turn off your device.
- To turn on your iPhone, press and hold the Side Button until the Apple Logo appears.
To restart your Router,
- Disconnect the router from the power.
- To do it unplug the power cord from the back of the router. Wait for some time.
- Then plug the power cord into the router.
Solution 5: Forget Wi-Fi Network
- Go to Settings->Wi-Fi.
- Tap (i) info symbol next to the connected Wi-Fi network.
- Tap “Forget This Network”.
- Tap “Forget This Network” in the pop-up box to confirm.
- Then rejoin to the same network or any other Wi-Fi networks.
Solution 6: Check connected Wi-Fi Network issues
- Go to Settings->Wi-Fi.
- Make sure that Wi-Fi is turned on and you can see connected Wi-Fi network name.
- If there is any problem with the connected Wi-Fi network, you can see the alert like ”No Internet Connection” under the Wi-Fi network name. So try another network and check whether your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi or not.
Solution 7: Reset Network Settings
- Go to Settings->General->Reset.
- Tap “Reset Network Settings”.
- Enter the Passcode if required.
- Tap “Reset Network Settings” in the pop-up box.
- Wait until your iPhone restarts and then connect it to Wi-Fi.
Note: This action will reset all Wi-Fi Networks & Passwords, APN & VPN Settings, and Cellular Settings of your iPhone.
Solution 8: Reset All Settings
- Go to Settings->General->Reset.
- Tap “Reset All Settings”.
- Enter your passcode and restrictions passcode.
- Tap “Reset All Settings” in the pop-up box.
- Again tap “Reset All Settings” to confirm.
- Wait until your iPhone restarts.
Note: Reset All Settings will remove all Bluetooth pairing details, saved Wi-Fi Network & Passwords, and APN & VPN Settings.
Other Solutions:
- Update your iPhone.
- Update your Router to the latest firmware.
- Restore your iPhone to Factory Reset.
