iPhone XR Cellular Data not Working? Here’s the Fix

Fix 1: Enable and Disable Airplane Mode

  1. Go to “Settings”.
  2. Find “Airplane mode” and Enable it.
  3. Wait for few minutes and Disable it. (OR)
  4. Swipe up the home screen from bottom to up.
  5. You can see the control center and tap “Airplane” icon.
  6. Wait for few minutes and Disable it.

Fix 2: Force Restart your iPhone

  1. Press the “Volume Up button” and release it.
  2. Press the “Volume Down button” and release it
  3. Then, press and hold the “Side Button” until the Apple Logo appears.

Fix 3: Enable and Disable Cellular Data

  1. Go to “Settings”.
  2. Tap “Cellular Data”.
  3. Find Cellular Data and Enable it.

Fix 4: Update iOS version

  1. Go to Settings -> General -> Software Update.
  2. Click “Download and Install”.
  3. Enter the “Passcode”.
  4. Then, it will download and install the current version of iOS.

Fix 5: Update Carrier Settings

  1. First, you have to connect your device to cellular data or Wi-Fi.
  2. Open “Settings” -> “General” -> “About”.
  3. Here, you can see an update, you just update it.

Fix 6: Remove and insert SIM Card

  1. Open the sim slot and take out the sim.
  2. Make sure your Sim is in good condition.
  3. Then, Reinsert it.

Fix 7: Restore iPhone to Factory Settings
Before doing this action you need to back up all the data on your iPhone XR because this action will erase all the data.
To back up,

  1. Connect your iPhone to Wi-Fi or Cellular Data.
  2. Open “Settings”.
  3. Tap your “Apple iD” banner.
  4. Tap “iCloud”.
  5. Scroll down to find “iCloud Backup” and tap it.
  6. Enable “iCloud Backup”.
  7. Tap “Back Up Now”. wait until this process completes.

To Factory Restore iPhone XR,

  1. Go to Settings -> General -> Reset.
  2. Tap “Erase All Content and Settings”.
  3. Enter your Passcode if required.
  4. Tap “Erase iPhone” in the pop-up box.
  5. Tap “Erase iPhone” to confirm.
  6. Wait until your iPhone your iPhone restarts and then set up your iPhone as new.

Fix 8: Update Network Settings

  1. Go to “Settings”.
  2. Tap “General”.
  3. Scroll down to find “Carrier” and tap it.
  4. If any network settings are available on your screen, then a pop-up box will appear.

Fix 9: Reset Network Settings

  1. Go to Settings->General->Reset.
  2. Tap “Reset Network Settings”.
  3. Enter the Passcode if required and tap “Reset Network Settings” in the pop-up box.

Note: This action will reset all Wi-Fi Networks & Passwords, APN & VPN Settings, and Cellular Settings of your iPhone.
