Fixed: iPhone Unresponsive/Not working After iOS Update

Most iPhone users are told that they have an Unresponsive problem after installing the iOS update on iPhone. It’s really irritating to all of us. A few days before I also faced this issue, I tried some steps to overcome this problem and it works for me. Now I’m gonna share those tricks with you. hope this solution helps you to solve your problem too. Ok, let’s start,

iPhone Unresponsive and not working on iPhone after iOS Update

Solution 1: Force Restart/Hard Reset

iPhone 6

  1. Press and hold the Home button and power button simultaneously.
  2. And hold the button until you see the Black screen and wait for some time until you can see the Apple logo.

iPhone 7

  1. Press and hold the Power button and Volume Down button until you can see the Apple logo.
  2. Then release both buttons.

iPhone 8 and iPhone X, XS, XS Max, XR

  1. Press and release the Volume Up and Down button once.
  2. And Press and hold the Power button until you can see the Apple logo appear.

Solution 2: Update all Apps

  1. Launch App Store on your iPhone.
  2. And tap the Profile icon at the top right of the screen.
  3. Scroll down and see the app’s updates from AVAILABLE UPDATES.
  4. If any update is available tap on the Update next to the App or tap on the Update All option.

Solution 3: Reset All Settings.

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. Tap on the General.
  3. Scroll down the screen and select the Reset option.
  4. Tap “Reset all Settings”.
  5. Enter the iPhone passcode, if asked.
  6. And then tap “Reset All Settings” in the pop-up box to confirm the action.

Solution 4: Restore your phone in DFU/ Recovery Mode

  1. Connect your iPhone via Lightning (USB) cable to the Mac or PC.
  2. Open iTunes on your PC or Mac.
  3. Make sure that iTunes is upgraded to the latest version.
  4. Press the Volume Up button and quickly release it.
  5. And then press the Volume Down button and quickly release it.
  6. At last, press and hold the Slide button (Wake/Sleep button).
  7. Don’t leave it before seeing the Apple logo appears.
  8. Keep holding until the recovery mode screen appears.
  9. A box will open with three options. Choose “Restore” or “Update”.
  10. Wait until the process is finished.
  11. Then restart your device force.

Solution 5: Check your iPhone storage

If your iPhone storage is full, this also makes your iPhone unresponsive. So check if it is full or not. To do that,

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. Tap on the General.
  3. And select the iPhone Storage option.
  4. Now check whether it is full or not, If it is less than 100 MB of storage on your iPhone.
  5. You should free up some space on your iPhone.
