iPhone 6 Dropping Calls: Verizon and at&t? Here’s the fix


Many iPhone 6 users have a complaint that their iPhone keeps cutting off during phone calls. If you have the same issue, this article will help you to fix it.
First thing you have to do is,
Eject the SIM and then insert it back in.
Solution 1: Restart your device

  1. Press and hold the Power Button (Sleep/Wake) until the slider to power off screen appears or Launch Settings->General->Shut Down.
  2. Drag the slider to turn off your device.
  3. To turn your device on, press and hold the Power button until the Apple logo appears.

Solution 2: Force Restart
Press and hold the Home Button and Power Button simultaneously until the Apple Logo Appears.
Solution 3: Turn off LTE (VoLTE)
Turn off LTE may solve this issue.

  1. Launch Settings->Cellular->Cellular Data Options->Enable LTE.
  2. You can see three options. Select “Data Only”.disable volte iphone 6

Solution 4: Check for “Carrier Settings Update”
Connect your device to Wi-Fi/Cellular network.

  1. Launch Settings->General->About. Wait for 20-25 seconds.
  2. If an update is available, a pop-up box will appear. Tap “Update” in the pop-up box.carrier update

Note: When you insert a new SIM, download the Carrier Settings for your new SIM.
Solution 5: Reset Network settings

  1. Go to Settings->General->Reset.
  2. Tap “Reset Network Settings”.
  3. Enter passcode if required and tap “Reset Network Settings” in the pop-up box.Reset Network Settings

Note: This action will reset all Wi-Fi Networks & passwords, APN & VPN settings, and Cellular Settings of the iPhone.
Solution 6: Refresh “Airplane Mode”

  1. Launch Settings->Airplane Mode (or) go to Control Center.
  2. Turn on “Airplane Mode” and wait for 10 seconds. Then turn it off.airplane mode

Solution 7: Reset All settings

  1. Go to Settings->General->Reset.
  2. Tap “Reset All Settings”.
  3. Enter passcode if required and then tap “Reset All Settings” in the pop-up box.

Note: When you try Reset All Settings, your iPhone will remove all Bluetooth pairing details, saved Wi-Fi Networks & passwords,  and APN & VPN settings.
Other Solutions:

  1. Go to different locations and try to make/receive calls.
  2. Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
  3. Make sure that “Do Not Disturb” is turned off.
  4. If call dropping happens only for few numbers/contacts means, you might have blocked those number. So check and unblock them.
  5. Check Apple warranty status. If your iPhone covers warranty, take it to the Apple Service Center.
