iPhone backup File Location on Mac & Windows

Finding iPhone  backup file location in your computer is important to restore images, contacts, apps, bookmark and calender  in your new iPhone. Here i am provide simple steps to find iPhone backup location in your Mac OS X or Windows.
iPhone Back file end with extension as .mddata.
Simply search and find iPhone backup files using file extension “mddata” or mdbackup.
In your windows computer, just type  “%APPDATA%Apple ComputerMobileSync” and search to find iPhone backup file location,
Simple Method to find where iTunes put iPhone Backup on your computer
Open your iTunes application.
Go to Menus. Select Edit->Preferences. Choose the device icon at the top. You device backup location is listed there.
Where to find iPhone Backup files on Mac
~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
Note : ~ symbol mention home directory of OS X.
iPhone backup file location on Windows 7 and  Windows 8
First turn on “Show hidden files and folders” option  in your windows 7 or 8. Go to My computer. In top toll bar choose organize-> Folder and search options. In view tab you can find this option.
Go to C:UsersusernameAppDataRoamingApple ComputerMobileSyncBackup
Note : username  is your user name on windows. So change the username to your  windows user name. Ex: C:UsersdavidAppDataRoamingApple ComputerMobileSyncBackup
Note 2: AppData is a hidden folder in Windows. So you must turn on “Show hidden files and folders” option in Windows to see that folder .
