iPhone 8 and 8 Plus Bluetooth Not Finding Devices? Here’s the fix


Many Apple users have a complaint that their iPhone Bluetooth keeps searching for devices. Some people said that they can see Bluetooth spinning wheel on their iPhone but it can’t discover devices. Here I am going to tell you the solutions to fix this issue.
Solution 1: Refresh Bluetooth

  1. Go to Settings->Bluetooth.
  2. Make sure that Bluetooth is turned on.
  3. Turn off Bluetooth.
  4. Wait for few seconds and then turn it on.

Solution 2: Restart your iPhone

  1. Press and hold the Side Button (Sleep/Wake) until slide to power off screen appears.
  2. Drag the slider to turn off your Device.
  3. To turn on your device again press and hold the Side Button until the Apple Logo appears.
  4. Then try to pair the Bluetooth device.

Solution 3: Check your Bluetooth device

  1. Make sure that Bluetooth device is turned on.
  2. Keep your Bluetooth device next to iPhone.
  3. Restart Bluetooth device. Turn off Bluetooth device. Wait for few seconds and then turn it on.
  4. Make sure that your Bluetooth device is charged.
  5. When you pair your iPhone with the other Bluetooth-enabled device for the first time, it will take some time to connect. so wait for 10 minutes.

Solution 4: Force Restart

  1. Press the Volume Up Button and release it.
  2. Press the Volume Down Button and release it.
  3. Press and hold the Side Button until the Apple Logo appears.

Note: Don’t press the Volume Up and Volume Down Buttons simultaneously.
Solution 5: Refresh Airplane Mode

  1. Launch Settings->Airplane Mode.
  2. Turn on “Airplane Mode”.
  3. Wait for few seconds and then turn it on.

Solution 6: Reset All settings

  1. Go to Settings->General->Reset.
  2. Tap “Reset All Settings”.
  3. Enter your passcode.
  4. Tap “Reset All Settings” in the pop-up box.
  5. Then try to connect Bluetooth device with your iPhone.

Note: When you Reset All Settings, your iPhone will remove all Bluetooth pairing details, saved Wi-Fi Networks & Passwords, and APN & VPN Settings.
Solution 7: Check for Software Update

  1. Connect your phone to Wi-Fi or Cellular Data.
  2. Go to Settings->General->Software Update.
  3. Tap “Download and Install” if update is available

Solution 8: Factory Reset
Before reset your iPhone to Factory Settings, backup your device. Because this action will erase all data from your device.
To back up your device,

  1. Connect your phone to Wi-Fi or Cellular Data
  2. Launch Settings->Apple ID (your name)->iCloud->iCloud Backup.
  3. Make sure that iCloud Backup is turned on. Tap “Back Up Now”.

Factory Reset/Restore

  1. Go to Settings->General->Reset.
  2. Tap “Erase All Contents and Settings”.
  3. A pop-up box will appear with three options: Back Up Then Erase, Erase Now, and Cancel.
  4. If you want to backup your device, tap “Back Up Then Erase”.
  5. If you have already taken a Backup, tap “Erase Now”.
  6. Wait until the process is finished.

  1. Check Apple warranty status. If your iPhone covers warranty, take it to the Apple Service Center.
