Fixed: iPhone 6/6s Touch Screen Freezing After updating iOS 11


Touch screen stops responding frequently on my iPhone 6. When I try to unlock it, it is freezing. It is not happening all the time. Sometimes only this issue occurs. I don’t know why my phone is unresponsive to touch.
Many of the iPhone 6 users have complained that touch screen is not working properly. Then I got some solutions to fix this issue. Here I am going to share those solutions with you.
Solution 1: Soft restart

  1. Go to Settings->General.
  2. Scroll down to find “Shut Down” and tap.
  3. the red slider will appear. Drag the slider to turn off your device.
  4. to turn on your device press and hold the Wake/Sleep (Power) button until the Apple Logo appears.

Solution 2: Hard Reset/Force Restart

  1. Press and hold the Home Button.
  2. At the same time, press and hold the Wake/Sleep (Power) button at top right of the iPhone while holding the Home Button.
  3. Hold both buttons until the Apple logo appears.iPhone 5

Solution 3: Reset All settings

  1. Go to Settings->General->Reset.
  2. Select “Reset All Settings” under Reset
  3. Enter passcode if required and then tap “Reset All Settings” in the pop-up box to confirm the action.Reset All Settings

Note: When you try Reset All Settings, your iPhone will remove all Bluetooth pairing details, saved WiFi passwords, APN and VPN settings.
Solution 4: Reset Factory Settings (Factory restore)
This process will erase all data from your mobile. So Before doing it take a back up your iPad or iPhone.
To take a back up,

  1. Launch Settings->iCloud.
  2. Make sure that “iCloud Backup” is on.
  3. And tap on “Back Up Now”.

You can also Restore your iPhone using iTunes.
After finishing this restore everything,

  1. Launch Settings->General->Reset.
  2. Select “Erase All Contents and Settings”. Enter passcode if it is required.
  3. Then you will be asked to enter Apple ID password. Enter it. The reset process will take 1 or 2 minutes.

After that,

  1. Turn on your device.
  2. You can see the Apps & Data screen with four options. Tap “Restore from iCloud Backup”.
  3. Sign in to iCloud. To do that you have to enter Apple ID & Password. Then tap “Next” at the right upper corner of the screen.
  4. Then tap “Agree” to agree to Terms and Conditions.
  5. Then the latest list of Backup for your iPhone will appear. Tap it. Restore will start.

Solution 5: Restore your phone in DFU/Recovery Mode
Before doing it make sure that you took a Back Up. because this action will erase all data on your phone.

  1. Connect your iPhone via Lightning (USB) cable to the Mac or PC.
  2. Open iTunes on your PC or MAC. Make sure that iTunes is upgraded to latest version.
  3. Press and hold the Home Button. At the same time, press and hold the Wake/Sleep (Power) button at top right of the iPhone while holding the Home Button.
  4. Hold both buttons until the Apple logo appears.
  5. Don’t leave it after seeing Apple logo appears.
  6. Keep holding until the recovery mode screen appears. A box will open with three option. Choose “Restore”. Wait until the process is finished.
  7. Then restart your device forcely (step 3 & 4).

Other Solutions:

  1. Check Apple warranty status. If your iPhone covers warranty, take it to the Apple Service Center.
  2. Go to the App Store. If there is any app available for updating, update and install it.
  3. Make sure that you have updated your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
