iOS 12 Stuck on Update Requested – How to Fix

While updating to iOS 12, you get this “Update Requested” error. If this error occurs, you can’t download the software. This update issue may be caused by network issue or any other reason. In this article, I am going to tell you how to fix iOS 12 stuck on update requested.update-requested-on-ios-12
Solution 1: Force Restart your iPhone
iPhone 6 and earlier
Press and hold the Home Button and Power Button (Sleep/Wake) until the Apple Logo Appears.
iPhone 7 & 7 Plus
Press and hold the Side Button and Volume Down Button until the Apple Logo appears.
iPhone 8, 8 Plus, & X

  1. Press the Volume Up Button and release it.
  2. Press the Volume Down Button and release it.
  3. Press and hold the Side Button until the Apple Logo appears.

Note: Don’t press “Volume Up” and “Volume Down” at the same time.
Solution 2: Reset Network settings

  1. Go to Settings->General->Reset.
  2. Tap “Reset Network Settings”.
  3. Enter the Passcode if required and tap “Reset Network Settings” in the pop-up box.

Solution 3: Enable and Disable Airplane Mode

  1. Open “Settings” .
  2. Turn on “Airplane” mode. Wait for a few seconds. After that turn off it.
  3. Another way to turn on it is open control center and turn on Airplane Mode and turn it off.

Solution 4: Restore your Phone on Recovery Mode
Before doing this, back up your device because this action will erase your phone’s data.

  1. First, connect your iPhone to Mac via USB cable.
  2. Next, open iTunes on your Mac. Make sure that iTunes is updated to the latest version.
  3. Then force restart your iPhone.
  4. Don’t leave buttons after seeing the Apple logo. Keep holding it until Recovery Mode screen (iTunes screen) appears.
  5. Select “Restore” in the pop-up box. Wait until the process is finished.
  6. Then force restart your iPhone.
