Change your ringtone to default.

- Select Default ringtone under Ringtones.
Hard Reset – iPhone 6, 6s, 6 Plus, and earlier
Press and hold the Home Button and Power Button (Sleep/Wake) until the Apple Logo Appears.
iPhone 7 & 7 Plus
Press and hold the Side Button and Volume Down Button until the Apple Logo appears.
iPhone 8 and later
- Press the Volume Up Button and release it.
- Press the Volume Down Button and release it.
- Press and hold the Side Button until the Apple Logo appears on the screen.
Choose the purchased ringtone
- Open Settings->Sounds/Sounds & Haptics.
- Tap “Ringtone” under Sounds and vibration patterns.
- Then select the purchased ringtone.
Solution 2: Delete the Purchased Ringtones through iTunes.
Delete the purchased ringtones through iTunes and again download all purchased tones and select the songs to ringtone.
- Connect your iPhone to iTunes through PC or Mac.
- Choose Tones and erase all the purchased ringtones.
- And click “Sync”. Disconnect your phone from PC or Mac after the sync is completed.
- Then go to Settings->Sounds->Ringtone->Download All Purchased Tones.
- Then all songs will be downloaded to your iPhone.
- Now selects a ringtone from the purchased songs.
- That’s it.
Solution 3: Select a purchased song for some contacts
Try to set the purchased ringtones to some contact. To do that,
- Launch Contacts app.
- Click the Contacts icon.
- And select a contact randomly.
- Tap “Edit” at the right-upper corner of the screen.
- Then tap on “Ringtone”.
- Select the purchased song and then click “Done”.
- Set it for some contacts and check whether the purchased ringtones are working or not.
Solution 4: Download a new ringtone
Download songs from iTunes and set them as a ringtone. For that,
- Go to iTunes Store->Search.
- Search the ringtone which one you want.
- Tap on the price.
- Tap “Purchase”.
- Enter your Apple ID and Password.
- Tap “Sign In”.
- Then follow the screen instructions to download the song.
- Now set this purchased tone as a ringtone and check whether it is working or not.
Solution 5: Reset All Settings
Reset all settings will help to play the custom ringtone on your iPhone. To do that,
- Go to Settings->General->Reset.
- Tap “Reset All Settings”.
- Enter your passcode and Restrictions passcode.
- Tap “Reset All Settings”.
- Again tap “Reset all Settings” to confirm.
Note: This action will reset all Wi-Fi Networks & Passwords, APN & VPN Settings, and Cellular Settings of your iPhone.
Other Solutions:
- Downgrade iOS 12 to 11
- Make an Apple genius bar appointment.
