iPhone Charging Issues After iOS 12 ? Here's the fix


After upgrading to iOS 12, you may experience some charging issues on your iPhone. To get rid of such issues, I gonna share some tricks with you. You just try these tricks and get benefit out of it. Listed below are the tricks which are suggested to fix “iPhone Charging Issues After iOS 12” problem.
Most common charging issues faced by iPhone Users are as follows:

  1. iPhone won’t charge.
  2. iPhone Battery draining fast all of a sudden
  3. iPhone shuts down with the Battery left.
  4. iPhone won’t turn on
  5. iPhone charging slow
  6. iPhone abnormal bad Battery life.
  7. iPhone gets heated while charging

Fix 1: Restart your device

  1. Firstly, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the slider appears.
  2. Slide to power off and then wait for few seconds.
  3. Again, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until you see an Apple Logo to restart it.

Fix 2: Turn On Low Power Mode

  1. Launch Settings -> Battery.
  2. Turn On Low Power Mode.

Fix 3: Turn Off Background App Refresh.

  1. Launch Settings -> General.
  2. Tap on Background App Refresh.
  3. Turn Off Background App Refresh.

Fix 4: Reset All Settings

  1. On your iPhone, launch Settings.
  2. Tap on General -> Reset.
  3. Tap on Reset All Settings.
  4. Enter Passcode if prompted and tap Reset All Settings in the pop-up box.

Note: Before doing this fix, it is advisable to take backup of all your data.
Fix 5: Remove your iPhone Case
Sometimes the issue may happen because of your iPhone case. Just remove the case of your iPhone and then give a try.
Fix 6: Turn Off Location Services

  1. Go to Settings -> Privacy.
  2. Tap on Location Services.
  3. Turn off Location Services.

Fix 7: Turn On Airplane Mode

  1. Launch Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on Airplane Mode and then turn it on.
  3. Finally, connect your device to a charger.

Fix 8: Turn On Auto-Brightness

  1. Launch Settings -> General.
  2. Tap on Accessibility -> Display Accommodations.
  3. Turn On Auto-Brightness.

Fix 9: Turn Off Wi-Fi
Launch Settings -> Wi-Fi-> Turn Off Wi-Fi.
Fix 10: Turn Off Bluetooth
Launch Settings -> Bluetooth -> Turn Off Bluetooth
Fix 11: Turn Off System Services

  1. First, go to Settings -> Privacy.
  2. Tap on Location Services.
  3. Then scroll down to see System Services
  4. Turn off System Services.

Fix 12: Use Apple-matched Chargers
Make sure that you are not using a third-party lightning Cable or Adapter for charging your iPhone. It is better to always use Apple-matched chargers.
Fix 13: Check for Lightning Cable
Make sure that your Lightning Cable or Power Adapter is not damaged.
Fix 14: Hard Reset

  1. Press Volume Up button and then release it quickly.
  2. Press Volume Down button and then release it quickly.
  3. At last, press and hold the Side button (Wake/Sleep button) until the Apple logo appears

Fix 15: Charge using another method
Try to change your charging method. For instance: If you charge your iPhone via USB Cable then try using a charger. Similarly, If you charge your iPhone via charger then charge it via USB Cable.
Fix 16: Turn On Reduce Motion

  1. Launch Settings -> General.
  2. Tap on Accessibility -> Reduce Motion.
  3. Turn on Reduce Motion.

Fix 17: Restore your device

  1. Firstly, connect your iPhone to a PC.
  2. Then launch the iPhone in Recovery mode.
  3. Now open iTunes option and select your device.
  4. Once iTunes has detected your device, a pop-up box will appear to either Update or Restore the iPhone
  5. Just hit on Update and Restore.
  6. Finally, the iTunes will start to download the latest iOS and restore the iPhone to factory default mode.

Note: Before doing this fix, it is advisable to take backup of all your data.
