iOS 12 Bluetooth Not Working on iPhone & iPad


Bluetooth not working on my iPhone after updating iOS 12. My iPhone won’t connect to Bluetooth devices or accessories after iOS 12 update. Sometimes it frequently disconnects. One of the iPhone users suggested some solutions to fix this issue. Here I am going to share those solutions with you.

Before trying these solutions,

  1. Keep your iOS device and Bluetooth accessory closer.
  2. Make sure that your iOS device supports the Bluetooth accessory that you are using.
  3. Make sure that your Bluetooth accessory is fully charged and turned on.

Solution 1: Refresh Bluetooth

  1. Go to Settings->Bluetooth.
  2. Turn off “Bluetooth”.
  3. Force Restart your iOS device.
  4. Then turn on “Bluetooth”.
  5. Then try to connect the Bluetooth accessory to iPhone.

Solution 2: Forget Bluetooth accessory

  1. Go to Settings->Bluetooth.
  2. Make sure that Bluetooth is turned on.
  3. Tap (i) info symbol next to the Bluetooth accessory name.
  4. Tap “Forget This Device”.
  5. Tap “Forget Device” in the pop-up box.
  6. Likewise, forget all Bluetooth accessories and then repair any one of the Bluetooth accessories with your iPhone

Solution 3: Refresh Airplane Mode

  1. Go to Settings->Bluetooth.
  2. Turn off “Bluetooth”.
  3. Turn on “Airplane Mode”.
  4. Restart your iOS device.
  5. Turn off “Airplane Mode”.
  6. Turn on “Bluetooth”.

Solution 4: Reset Network Settings

  1. Go to Settings->General->Reset.
  2. Tap “Reset Network Settings”.
  3. Enter the Passcode if required.
  4. Tap “Reset Network Settings” in the pop-up box.

Note: This action will reset all Wi-Fi Networks & Passwords, APN & VPN Settings, and Cellular Settings of your iPhone.
Solution 5: Reset All Settings

  1. Go to Settings->General->Reset.
  2. Tap “Reset All Settings”.
  3. Enter your passcode and restrictions passcode.
  4. Tap “Reset All Settings”.
  5. Again tap “Reset All Settings” to confirm.

Note: This action will reset all Wi-Fi Networks & Passwords, APN & VPN Settings, and Cellular Settings of your iPhone.
Solution 6: Check for Software Update

  1. Connect your iOS device to Wi-Fi/Cellular data.
  2. Go to Settings->General->Software Update.
  3. Tap “Download and Install” if update available.

Other Solutions:

  1. Contact Apple Support.
  2. Restore your iPhone to factory Settings.
