Fixed: iPad Air Extremely Slow after iOS 11 Update

Some of iPad Air Users had reported a problem that, after updating to iOS 11, their iPad works very slow. Recently, I too had experienced this same issue when I was using my iPad. Everything seems to lag. Sometimes I feel irritated because it takes too much time to load. Then somehow I had fixed this serious issue with the help of tricks suggested by my friend John. Here, I am going to share those tricks with you so that you can also get rid of this issue very quickly.
Fix 1: Restart your device

  1. Firstly, press and hold the Power button and Home button simultaneously until you see an Apple Logo on your screen.
  2. When the Apple Logo appears, release both the Power button and the Home Button to restart your device.

Fix 2: Turn Off Background App Refresh

  1. Launch Settings -> General.
  2. Tap on Background App Refresh
  3. Then turn it as off.

Fix 2: Turn On Reduce Motion

  1. Launch Settings -> General.
  2. Tap on Accessibility -> Reduce Motion.
  3. Then, turn on Reduce Motion.

Fix 3: Turn On Reduce Transparency.

  1. Firstly, go to Settings -> General.
  2. Tap on Accessibility -> Increase Contrast.
  3. Then tap on Reduce Transparency.
  4. Finally, turn on Reduce Transparency

Fix 4: Turn Off Location Services.

  1. Launch Settings -> Privacy.
  2. Tap on Location Services.
  3. Then turn it as off.

Fix 5: Turn Off Updates.

  1. Firstly, launch Settings -> iTunes & App Stores.
  2. Now turn off Updates.

Fix 6: Check for Software Update

  1. Go to Settings -> General.
  2. Tap on Software Update -> Download and Install.

Fix 7: Restore your device.

Note: Before Restoring your iPhone it is advisable to backup all your data

  1. Firstly, open on your computer and sign in with your Apple ID and Password.
  2. Tap on Find My iPhone -> All Devices.
  3. Then select the device you want to choose.
  4. Tap on Erase and Confirm.
  5. Now, connect your device to your computer and open iTunes option.
  6. Just select the device and then tap Restore and Confirm an action.

Fix 8: Reset All Settings

Note: It is advisable to take backup of all your data before doing this fix.

  1. Launch Settings -> General.
  2. Tap on Reset.
  3. Then, tap on Reset All Settings and confirm an action.

Other Solutions:

  • Delete the Big Files and Uninstall the Unwanted Apps which you use rarely.
  • Factory Reset your device and then reload all your information (It is advisable to backup your data before doing this fix)
  • Clean up the junk files on your device.
  • Make sure that you are using the latest version of Apps on your device (update all the apps)
