Incoming Call Display Delay Problem on iPhone XS, XR and XS Max [Fixed]


iPhone users have been complaining that they have a problem on their recent models of iPhone which incoming call display delay problem after iOS update. I too had this same issue on my iPhone XS. When I got a call from my sister, I could hear the sound but call alert not showing on display. It was too irritating to me. I tried some tricks to solve this problem. Fortunately, the problem was gone. Now, I am going to tell you those solutions to solve this problem in this article. Hope your problem will be solved.
Solution 1: Restart your iPhone

  1. Press the power button and either volume up or down button until getting a slider.
  2. Drag the slider to turn off your device.
  3. Wait for 20 to 30 seconds.
  4. To turn on your device, press and hold the power button until see an Apple logo.

Solution 2: Reset All Settings

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap General -> Reset.
  3. Choose “Reset All Settings”.
  4. Enter the passcode of your iPhone if prompted.
  5. Again tap “Reset All Settings” in the pop-up box to confirm.

Solution 3: Force Restart

  1. Press Volume Up button and quickly release it.
  2. Press Volume Down button and quickly release it.
  3. Press and hold the Side button until the Apple Logo appears.

Note: Don’t press the Volume Up and Volume Down button at the same time.
Solution 4: Check for Software Update

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap “General”.
  3. Scroll down the page to find “Software Update” and tap it.
  4. If there any update is available, you just click “Download and Install”.
  5. Then follow the instruction to complete this process.

Solution 5: Factory Reset your Device

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap “General”.
  3. Now, tap “Reset”.
  4. Select “Erase All Content and Settings”.
  5. Enter the passcode of your phone if prompted.
  6. Again tap “Reset All Settings” in the pop-up box to confirm.

Solution 6: Restore your iPhone in Recovery Mode via iTunes

  1. First, connect your iPhone to the Mac or PC through USB cable.
  2. After it connects, press and quickly release the Volume Up button.
  3. Now, press and quickly release Volume Down button.
  4. Then press and hold the Power/Side button until it restarts. Don’t leave this button until your phone gets into Recovery mode.
  5. Release this button when you see your phone connect to iTunes.
  6. In the iTunes window, it shows your iOS device is in recovery mode. There you can see two options that Update or Restore.
  7. Select “Restore”.
  8. You have to wait until the process is completed.
