Fixed: Inaccurate Geotags on iPhone Photos


Geotags are common when you are using GPS location. If location will show inaccurate Geotags on your iPhone photos or videos, users get irritation. Many iPhone users have this issue. Close and Again Open the App
If you have this problem, you can try to close the app and reopen it again. It may fix your problem.
Double click your home button to close the apps. Here you can see the app that you did already open. Close the app. Then reopen the app.
Allow Permission to Access your Location
When you open the Apps, it asks you to allow. If you select no, you can’t use the app or it won’t work properly. It may cause this problem. So, you should give the permission to access this app. Then only it works properly. You can select this option even after you selected “No” option.

  • For that, open “Settings” -> click “Privacy” -> click “Location Services”. There you can see the list of app that accesses your Location Services.
  • You have to click “Find My iPhone”. Then change it to “While Using the App”. Now, you should close the Settings app. Then open the app. It may fix your problem.

Resetting your Location Services

  • Launch “Settings” app on your iDevices.
  • Next, click “General”.
  • Now, you have to click “Reset”. Then click “Location and Privacy”.
  • It will ask you to enter the passcode and you should enter it. Then it will reset the “Location Services”.

Turn on iOS Geotag

  • For that, open “Settings” app on your iPhone.

Restart your iOS Devices
iPhone 8 and Earlier

  1. Press and hold the power button until you get a slider.
  2. To turn off your device, drag the slider.
  3. After few seconds, again press and hold the power button until you get an Apple logo.

iPhone X

  1. Press and hold the side button until you get a slider.
  2. To turn off your device, drag the slider.
  3. Another way to restart your iPhone is open “Settings”.
  4. Tap “General”.
  5. Tap “Shut Down”. Then wait 10 to 15 seconds. After that click “side” button to turn on your iPhone.

Check your Internet Connection
Sometimes, it may happen due to a poor internet connection. So, you have to check your connection. If you use Wi-Fi or Mobile Data, it must be strong. Then only it works properly.
