iMessage Not Working on MacBook Pro (Fixed)


As you all know iMessage is a chat and messaging app provided by Apple. You can also send or receive unlimited text messages to iPhone, iPad and iPod user from your MacBook. But, many of the users have experienced the issue that, “iMessage not working”. It was the simple issue you can easily get rid of this problem. Here, I gonna share you some possible solutions to fix this issue.
Fix 1: Check iMessage Settings

  1. Go to Messages -> Preference -> Accounts.
  2. Click the “iMessage Account”.
  3. Click the checkbox next to “Enable Messages” on iCloud.

Fix 2: Force Quit iMessage

  1. Press Option + Command + Esc at the same time.
  2. Select the “App” which you want to force quit in the force quit window.

Fix 3: Restart your Mac

  1. Press the Power Button.
  2. Click “Restart” Button at the dialog box.
  3. Press “Control + Command + Eject/Power Button” to Restart your Mac easily.

Fix 4: Sign out and Sign in iMessage
To Sign out,

  1. Open “Messages”.
  2. Click Messages -> Preferences.
  3. Select the “Accounts” tab.
  4. Select you iMessage Account, then Sign out it.

To Sign in,

  1. Open “Messages”.
  2. Click Messages -> Preferences.
  3. Select the “Accounts” tab.
  4. Select you iMessage Account, then Sign in it.

Fix 5: Update your Mac

  1. Open “App Store”.
  2. Click “Updates” at the top of the menu.
  3. Now you can see the “Software Update”.
  4. Click “Update”.
  5. Wait till download and install.
  6. Mac will Restart after the process is done.
