iCloud Backup Failed on iPhone? Here's the Fix

Solution 1: Clear up iCloud storage

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. Tap your Name > iCloud.
  3. Here you can see the storage level.
  4. If your storage space is too low then delete your data or buy more space from Apple.
  5. To delete some unwanted file go to Manage Storage.
  6. Choose the folder and then delete it.

Solution 2: Check your iCloud setting

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. Tap your Apple ID > iCloud.
  3. Scroll down to see Backup and then tap it.
  4. Turn on the iCloud Backup.
  5. Tap Back Up Now to backup your device.

Solution 3: Sign Out/In iCloud

  1. Launch Settings-> Apple ID(your name).
  2. Scroll down to find “SignOut” and then click it.
  3. Enter your Apple ID and Password.
  4. Tap “Sign Out” at the right Corner.
  5. Again tap “Sign Out” in the pop-up box to confirm the action.

Sign In:

  1. Launch Settings-> iCloud.
  2. Enter your Apple ID and Password.
  3. Tap “Sign In”.

Solution 4: Reset All Settings

  1. Launch Settings > General.
  2. Scroll down to see Reset and then tap it.
  3. Tap “Reset all Settings”.
  4. Enter passcode if required and then tap “Reset All Settings” in Pop-up box to confirm the action.

Solution :5: Backup your Device using iTunes

  1. Launch iTunes on the computer(Mac or Windows)
  2. Connect your iPhone via Lightning (USB) cable to the Mac or PC.
  3. ‘Now your device will appear in iTunes Device tab.
  4. Right click on your device and tap Restore from Backup.
  5. Press the Device drop-down where you have to choose the old backup.
  6. Click the Restore button.
