Google Maps Keeps Crashing on iOS 11.4

Many iPhone users have been complaining that after update to iOS 11.4 their Google Maps constantly crashing. It’s annoying to people who are using Google Maps for finding the way of someplace. In this article, I am going to tell you some solution to fix this problem. If you have the same Google Maps Crashing problem on your iPhone, this article will help
Solution 1: Uninstall and Reinstall the App
This method will help you to get rid of this problem.

  1. First, uninstall the App. To do so, long press the app and the app will be wiggling. Then click “X” button to uninstall the app.
  2. After that, again reinstall the app from App Store.

Solution 2: Force Quit the App
First, close the Message app. Then double tap the Home button to force close the Google Map app. Again open the Google Map check whether it’s working or not. Do this at least 4 or 5 times.
Solution 3: Restart your iPhone
iPhone 8 and Earlier

  1. Press and hold the “Power button” until you get a slider.
  2. To turn off your device, drag the slider.
  3. After few seconds, again press and hold the “Power button” until you get an Apple logo.

iPhone X

  1. Press and hold the side button until you get a slider.
  2. To turn off your device, drag the slider.
  3. Another way to restart your iPhone is open “Settings”.
  4. Tap “General”.
  5. Tap “Shut Down”. Then wait 10 to 15 seconds. After that click “side” button to turn on your iPhone.

Solution 4: Check for Updates

  1. Open “Settings” app on your iPhone.
  2. Click “General” -> click “Software Update”. There you can see an update available, you just click “Download and Install”.
  3. Next, enter your passcode if prompted.
  4. Click “Agree” to the Terms and Conditions.
  5. Again click “Agree” to begin the process.

Solution 5: Reset All Settings

  1. Open “Settings”.
  2. Click “General” -> “Reset” -> “Reset Network Settings”.

Solution 6: Force restart
Force restart/Hard Reset (till iPhone 6)

  1. Press and hold the “Home Button”.
  2. At the same time, press and hold the “Wake/Sleep (Power) button” at the top right of the iPhone while holding the “Home Button”.
  3. Hold both buttons until the screen goes “black” and wait until the “Apple logo” appears.

Force restart/Hard Reset ( iPhone 7)

  1. Press and hold “Wake/Sleep (Power)” button.
  2. Press and hold the “Volume Down button” on the left side while holding the “Wake/Sleep (Power)” button.
  3. Wait until the “Apple logo” appears.

Force restart/Hard Reset ( iPhone 8 and iPhone X)

  1. Press “Volume Up button” and quickly release it. And then Press “Volume Down button” and quickly release it.
  2. At last, press and hold the “Power” button until the “Apple logo” appears.

Note: Don’t press “Volume Up” and “Volume Down” at the same time.
