Forgot Restrictions Passcode on iPhone or ipad? Here’s the fix


Restrictions passcode is very important to access any iOS device. If you enter the wrong passcode, your device will be disabled. If you forgot your restriction passcode, here is the solution to access your iPhone.
Take a backup and erase your device. Then only you can remove a passcode when you forgot it.
Solution 1: Restore iPhone using Itunes
When you do this you will lose all data on your iPhone.

  1. Open iTunes on your PC or MAC. Make sure that iTunes is upgraded to latest version.
  2. Connect your iPhone or iPad via data (USB) cable to the Mac.
  3. Tap your iPhone icon when it shows on iTunes.
  4. Select Summary tab and tap “Restore iPhone”.iTunes resore
  5. A new box will open to confirm the action. Tap “Restore”.restore itunes
  6. Then iTunes will restore your iPhone. Now you can use your mobile without restriction passcode.
  7. When your phone restarts, you can see a few options. You have to select “Set Up as New iPhone”.set up new iPhone
  8. If you want, you can reset the passcode also.

Solution 2: Erase your device using ReCovery Mode
If you don’t want to connect with iTunes, use recovery Mode.

  1. Open iTunes on your PC or MAC. make sure that iTunes is upgraded to latest version.
  2. Connect your iPhone or iPad via data (USB) cable to the Mac.
  3. Force Restart your iPhone. Press and hold the Wake/Sleep (Power) button and Home Button.
  4. Don’t leave it after seeing Apple logo appears.
  5. Keep holding until the recovery mode screen appears.
  6. A box will open with three option. Choose “Restore”. Wait until the process is finished.recory mode
  7. Then restart your device forcely (step 3).

Solution 3: Reset Factory Settings (Factory restore)
This process will erase all data from your mobile. So Before doing it take a back up your iPad or iPhone. After finishing this restore everything.

  1. Go to Settings->General->Reset.
  2. Select “Erase All Contents and Settings”. Enter passcode if it is required.
  3. Then you will be asked to enter Apple ID password. Enter it. The reset process will take 1 or 2 minutes.factory reset

Now everything will be reset on your iPad and iPhone including the Restrictions passcode.
Note: you can select either iTunes or iCloud to take a back up.
To take a back up,

  1. Launch Settings->iCloud.
  2. Make sure that  “iCloud Backup” is on.
  3. And tap on “Back Up Now”.icloud backup

Note: You can set a restriction passcode for specified apps.
