Fixed: Voice Problem During CarPlay Calls Since iOS 11.3


I faced Carplay calls voice problem since iOS 11.3 update. I connected to my iPhone via Carplay. When people called me, they couldn’t hear my voice clearly even they really didn’t understand what I said. It was really annoying. I told this problem to one of the friends and he gave me some solution to fix this problem. In this article, I am going to tell you that. If you have this problem, you can try these solutions.
Solution 1: Turn on Siri
If you use voice commands, you should turn on the Siri.

  • Launch “Settings” app on your iPhone.
  • Turn on “Siri” if turned off.
  • You just turn on Allow “Hey Siri”.

Solution 2: Restart your iPhone
iPhone 8 and Earlier

  • Press and hold the power button until you get a slider.
  • To turn off your device, drag the slider.restart-device
  • After few seconds, again press and hold the power button until you get an Apple logo.

iPhone X

  • Press and hold the side button until you get a slider.
  • To turn off your device, drag the slider.iphonex-restart
  • Another way to restart your iPhone is open “Settings”.
  • Tap “General”.
  • Tap “Shut Down”. Then wait 10 to 15 seconds. After that click “side” button to turn on your iPhone.

Solution 3: Change the USB cable
Some USB cables don’t work well. You should use perfect cable for your iPhone and it must be compatible with your iPhone. Make sure that your cable is certified one.
Solution 4: Turn on Carplay Restrictions

  • Launch “Settings” app.
  • Tap “General” -> tap “Restrictions”.
  • Then enter your passcode and turn on the restrictions for  “Carplay”.

Solution 5: Downgrade the iOS

  • If Carplay doesn’t work well for iOS 11.3, you can try to downgrade your iPhone. It may work for you.

Solution 6: Use Bluetooth
None of them is work for you, try to connect your iPhone via Bluetooth. It may work for you.
Restore your iPhone using iTunes
Before restore, you have to backup your device. Because it erases the phone’s data.

  • Connect your iPhone to Mac.
  • Open iTunes on your Mac. Then select your “iPhone” icon at the top.
  • Then click “Restore iPhone”. Now, your Phone will be restored.
  • Again click “Agree” to begin the process.
