Fix “Visual Voicemail is Currently Unavailable” iPhone


Visual voicemail is the easiest way to see our messages in iPhone. We can scan all messages and see who called and when visually on-screen.
Sometimes when the iPhone user is in need to read new voicemail messages, ‘Visual voicemail currently unavailable’ error could be shown on the screen. Don’t bother for that.

Reasons behind the error:
There are several reasons behind the error ‘Visual Voicemail currently unavailable’ in iPhone. Some of the reasons noted here

  • Turned off cellular data
  • Glitch of network settings.
  • iPhone is on airplane mode.

Try out the following solutions to fix this error:

Solution 1: Toggle the airplane mode ON& OFF
In every mobile phone Airplane mode  is turned off by default.  First, you turn on the Airplane mode. To fix the 3G/4G or network settings turn it off after 10-20 seconds.
How to switch on the Airplane mode:

  • Go to Settings and turn on the Airplane mode.
  • After 20 seconds turn it back off.

Solution 2: Check the cellular data
If you want to work with visual voicemail in iPhone, first you should have the cellular data connection on. Suppose if the cellular data connection is off, no data is transmitted or received by the device. The error ‘visual voicemail currently  unavailable’ will display.
How to check the cellular data is ON:
Go to Settings -> Cellular data -> on.
Solution 3: Reboot the device.
You can try to reboot your iPhone. Here mentioned the following ways to reboot the device.

  • Hold the power button and slide down to power off.
  • Power on your iPhone.

Solution 4: Reset network settings
If the above three solutions didn’t work, try this solution to reset the network settings.

  • Go to Settings – General – Reset – Reset Settings.ios-reset-network-settings

If you try this method, WI-FI password gets deleted. You want to connect the network again after giving password manually.
