Facebook Videos Keep Pausing on iPhone X – Here’s the Fix

Are you facing Facebook videos that keep pausing on iPhone X? Many iPhone users are getting  Facebook video keeps pausing issue. FB is one of the entertainment apps and it has funny videos, photos, etc. I have also faced this issue on my iPhone. It worked well until night. Today I have tried to open the video on FB and it keeps pausing. It was really annoying to me. Somehow, I fixed this issue using some solutions. Here I am going to tell you those solutions to solve this problem.

Solution 1: Turn Off Shake to Undo

Many users in the forum said when they turn off the Shake to Undo option, it may fix their Facebook video Pausing issue. So let’s try this one.

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. Tap on General and select Accessibility.
  3. Here you can see the Shake to Undo option, If it is turned ON, Kindly turn it OFF

Solution 2: Force Restart your Device

Force Restart is the basic solution for all issues. Whether it’s working or not I don’t know whatever it’s you can try this.

  1. Press the Volume Up button and quickly release it.
  2. Press the Volume Down button and quickly release it.
  3. Now, press and hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears.

Solution 3: Force Close App and Relaunch

  1. Swipe up your iPhone screen to the center and you will get closed apps.
  2. Swipe up the screen app to close.
  3. Then again relaunch the app and check whether it’s working or not.

Solution 4: Update the  App

  1. Open App Store on your iPhone.
  2. Then tap on the Profile icon at the top right.
  3. Find the Facebook app and check if any update is available.
  4. If it is yes, then tap on the “Update” next to the app.

Solution 5: Turn Off and On Wi-Fi /Router 

For Router:

  1. Turn OFF the Router and wait for 15 or 20 seconds.
  2. Again turn it  ON.
  3. Now playing the video on Facebook to check whether it is working or not.

For Wi-Fi:

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. Tap on the Wi-Fi and turn Off it.
  3. wait for few seconds and again turn it ON.

Solution 6: Reset Network Settings

  1. Go to the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap “General” -> “Reset”.
  3. Select “Reset Network Settings”.

Solution 7: Delete and Reinstall the App

  1. Long press the app until the apps are shaking.
  2. Now, the “X” symbol appears at the top left of the app.
  3. Click that “X” symbol to uninstall the app.
  4. Launch the App Store and search for the app.
  5. Then download and install it.

Solution 8: Reset All Settings

  1. Go to the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap “General”.
  3. Select “Reset All Settings”.
  4. Enter the passcode if prompted.
  5. Again tap “Reset All Settings” in the pop-up box to confirm.

Solution 9: Check for Software Update

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap “General”.
  3. Scroll down the page and tap on the “Software Update”.
  4. If any update is available, tap “Download and Install”. Then follow the instruction to update.

Solution 10: Restore your iPhone

Before restoring, backup your device because this action erases your phone’s data.

  1. Open iTunes on your PC or Mac. Make sure that iTunes is upgraded to the latest version.
  2. Connect your iPhone or iPad via data (USB) cable to the Mac.
  3. Tap your iPhone icon when it shows on iTunes.
  4. Select the Summary tab and tap “Restore iPhone”.
  5. A new box will open to ask to confirm the action. Tap “Restore”.
  6. Then iTunes will restore your iPhone.
  7. When your phone restart, you can see a few options. You have to select “Set Up as New iPhone”.
