Many Apple users have a complaint that deleted Emails keep coming back on the iPhone. They said that they deleted many Emails and those Email again appears the next day. Basically, we don’t want to keep unwanted stuff our self. Let’s stop worrying about this guys. Here, I will give few solutions to fix this annoying issue. Let’s get started.
Solution 1: Set “Delete mailbox” to “Trash”
- Launch Settings->Passwords & Accounts.
- Select your Email account.
- Tap “Account”.
- Tap “Advanced”.
- Select “Deleted Mailbox” under “Mailbox Behaviour”.
- Select “Trash” under “On the Server”.
- Now select the “Advanced” at the left-upper corner of the screen to go back to the Advanced page.
- Then tap on the “Account” at the left upper corner of the screen.
- Tap “Done”.
Solution 2: Remove and Add Email
- First, launch Settings->Passwords & Accounts.
- Select “Gmail” or select the Email account that you want to remove.
- Tap “Delete Account”.
- Select “Delete from my iPhone”.
- Then add your email account to your iPhone.
Solution 3: Delete Emails in Trash and Delete mail folders
- Log in to your email from the mail provider website.
- And delete the unwanted mail from the Inbox.
- You can also delete those messages from the Trash and Delete Mail Folder.
Solution 4: Force Restart
iPhone 6 and earlier
Press and hold the Home Button and Power Button (Sleep/Wake) until the Apple Logo Appears.
iPhone 7 & 7 Plus
Press and hold the Side Button and Volume Down Button until the Apple Logo appears.
iPhone 8, 8 Plus, X, XS, XS Max, & XR
- Press the Volume Up Button and release it.
- Next press the Volume Down Button and release it.
- Press and hold the Side Button until the Apple Logo appears.
Solution 5: Check for Software Update
- Connect your iPhone to Wi-Fi.
- Launch Settings->General->Software Update.
- Tap “Download and install” if an update is available.
Solution 6: Reset All Settings
- Go to Settings->General->Reset.
- Tap “Reset All Settings”.
- Enter your passcode and restrictions passcode.
- Tap “Reset All Settings”.
- Again tap “Reset All Settings” to confirm.
- Wait until your iPhone restarts.
Note: Reset All Settings will remove all Bluetooth pairing details, saved Wi-Fi Networks & Passwords, and APN & VPN Settings.
