Are you looking for backup Application Software? I think Time Machine backup is the only backup Software that deletes old backups to free up space on Mac.
Solution 1: Delete Backup from the Finder window
- Enter the time machine.
- Choose the backup.
- Right click on the backup (on the Finder window).
- Select the ‘Delete Backup’.
Note: Hold down the Option and click on the time machine in the menu bar and “Browse other backup files”.
Solution 2: Use tmutil
Use tmutil tool to delete backups one by one.
sudo tmutil delete/Volumes/drive_name/Backups.backupdb/mac_name/YYYY-MM-DD-hh mm ss.
Hope, this post helps to delete the old time machine backups on Mac.
